Depending on players' choices, Grigori Rasputin is Wiktor's last obstacle in . The Tsar's Mystic is a formidable enemy, with a high health pool and a signature Burden ability that punishes the player for each Salutor they have obtained. With precise strategy and a few sacrifices, players should be able to take Rasputin down in one or two attempts.
Since Rasputin is the last boss players will encounter, they should ensure all side quests and loose ends are completed before entering the game's last main story. Players should also have an array of Health- and Focus-replenishing skills going into the fight, as Rasputin's shadows can deal immense damage when combined with his challenging Burden debuffs. This would also be the time to level up Wiktor's Thaumaturgy skills, as he will need every option to face off with Rasputin.
Intriguingly, despite being the final boss of, fighting Rasputin can be technically avoided altogether. In the penultimate mainline quest, "," Wiktor can choose to side with Rasputin against the Thaumaturge clique.
As long as he does not betray Rasputin in front of the Tsar, Rasputin will not fight Wiktor. However, this only unlocks a limited number of endings, meaning players will need to go through Rasputin to complete most of the game's twelve different endings.
Wiktor can do one of two main optionsto instigate the final boss fight. During "," Wiktor can side with the clique and abandon Rasputin, causing him to corner Wiktor at the Tsar's party in "."
Continuing to provoke Rasputin with mocking dialogue options will cause him to fight the player. Alternatively, if Wiktor sides with Rasputin, he can also betray Rasputin by exposing his plans before the Tsar during "," leading to the final boss fight.
Rasputin is the most difficult boss in. He has a large health bar and multiple waves of enemies. Most boss fight strategies will work against Rasputin. Use Salutors like Personas in to negate each enemy's trait, take down enemies one at a time, and utilize Suffering when shadows resist normal attacks.
The tricky part of Rasputin's fight is his ability to inflict debilitating Burdens on Wiktor, which inflicts a different debuff for each Salutor Wiktor has tamed. Similar to how more Insight in can cause players more harm, the more Salutors Wiktor has, the more debilitating conditions Rasputin can stack. Normal debuff cleansing abilities, like Upyr's Liberum Veto, will not work here, leaving one possible resolution: Bond Breaking.
Breaking a bond with a Salutor will remove their associated Burden and fully heal Wiktor's Health Points and Focus, but it will also permanently remove that Salutor for the rest of the fight. To maximize usability, this option should only be used when Wiktor is
