In its latest Community Update video forThe Rogue Prince of Persia, Evil Empire outlined traversal and how players could get around the rogue-lite’s many levels. However, combat is the other part of the equation, and there’s plenty to keep players occupied.
As noted before, The Prince can choose from several Primary Weapons (though only carrying one at a time), including swords, twin daggers, throwing weapons and more. While each has different combos, they also have special attacks. The Broadsword, for example, can launch enemies into the air. You also have tools like the bow and chakram that require charges (replenished by striking enemies).
The Prince’s kick is vital because it stuns enemies when they hit walls and sends them into environmental hazards. However, it can also break the shields of armored enemies, stunning both in the process. The dive is also essential, as it can easily shatter shields.
You can also discover Medallions on your journey and equip up to four at a time. Like the Talismans from Dead Cells, they provide various passive effects, like releasing a poison cloud when wounded, setting fire to an area when killing a marked enemy, and adding HP whenever you discover a new Well of Dreams.
Medallions upgrade each other based on where they’re slotted, and enhanced weapons can also trigger their effects. Evil Empire will add more weapons, tools and Medallions as early access progresses.
The Rogue Prince of Persia launches on May 14th for PC via Steam Early Access.

For many fans of looter-shooters, it’s hard to find a series quite as compelling as The Division. With two successful games in the franchise already under its belt, Ubisoft is clearly aware that it’s a meaningful part of its ever-expanding catalog, so it’s unsurprising that it’s hard at work on a third entry. With the advent of newer hardware and a heap of lessons learned from the first two games, The Division 3 is all but certain to land with a bang and further cement the franchise as one of Ubisoft’s most beloved.

If it’s not enough that Assassin’s Creed Shadows provides two playable characters, a fully dynamic lighting system and recruitable allies, there are seasons. Buckle up. A bunch of players are competing to cross the finish line of a brutally difficult tower of racetracks in racing game Trackmania, with a prize pool of $30,000 waiting for the first three drivers to reach the top. The course is a huge, winding gauntlet made of pieces suspended in midair, and even expert players have fallen from their positions over 1000 times, their cars hurtling back to the bottom of the tower to start again. The top contenders are currently trying to crack a difficult spot to reach the 12th floor, at which point the course will reveal unknown territory. They seem a little tired, which is not surprising.
