As the community comes to terms with the fact that the Automatons are gearing you for a massive counter-attack, players are learning that their most powerful weaponry isn't effective against the faction's recent deployments. Developer Arrowhead has slowly been teasing out the narrative that the robotic forces of evil have quietly been working on new methods to reclaim some of their lost turf and while Helldivers expected the worst, the reality is even more brutal. Players are now sharing footage of their encounters with these massive new units and they're terrifying.
Posted to YouTube by Venatix, the Helldiver showcased their interaction with the Automaton Factory Strider which has lovingly been dubbed the «AT-AT» after The Empire's similar vehicles in.
The hulking tank manages to not only shrug off a direct hit from a fully-charged Quasar Cannon, widely agreed to be the best gun in the game right now, butalso withstands a 500KG bomb and the ongoing damage of an Orbital Laser Strike. The latter Stratagem ultimately brings the Factory Strider to its knees after seconds of prolonged impact.
As players are quickly learning, the Automatons' Factory Strider isn't just made to soak up damage as the amount of weapons on the titan can cause plenty of trouble. The machine is equipped with two laser guns on its front that can fire in quick succession as well as a heavy-duty cannon on its back that blows Helldivers away in a single shot. To make matters worse, it's also protected by heavy armor on all its sides and legs meaning weapons that aren't armor-piercing or explosive will be completely ineffective.
While this kind of enemy is scary enough, the Factory Strider also earns its name as the tank is large enough to house a fabricator in its belly that's able to constantly create more Automatons to swarm Helldiver squads. One might think a well-placed Quasar Cannon shot through its deployment hatch would be enough to topple it but the AT-AT is even able to shirk off that. Fortunately, Helldivers with a little less experience in the field needn't worry about running into a Factory Strider given that they only spawn from Difficulty Level 7.
While currently features two enemy factions, the Automatons and the Terminids, the community agrees that the Bots are the tougher enemy.
To make matters worse for the community, the Automatons have also enlisted the help of Gunships to cover Factory Striders. These aerial units fly overhead and rain down laser rockets that can completely obliterate a squad in seconds but due to their speedy nature, they're carrying far less armor than the walking tanks so they're significantly easier to bring down with a well-placed Anti-Tank rocket. The Automatons are clearly tired of

is about to become even more difficult as the game's latest mission type forces players to go up against some of the Automaton's most powerful units. While the kinds of enemies players will encounter in are largely determined by the difficulty of the mission they embark upon, users who want to farm some of the rare resources will need to run through some of the more brutal settings to upgrade their ship modules. Unfortunately, that now means going head-to-head against Factory Striders with the primary goal being to bring down the walking tanks.
may be a game about shooting Bugs and Bots with an assortment of deadly firearms but players hoping to charge into the fray with nothing but a melee weapon shouldn't give up hope just yet. Ever since the incredibly popular sequel in early 2024, the community has begged Arrowhead Studios to include some kind of sword as an unlockable weapon and since the studio hasn't done so yet, the demands have just grown louder. Fortunately, those diehard saber enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the developers are still looking into the idea.

The latest Ship Module adds another buff to what's already one of its most powerful Stratagems. Together, Ship Modules and Stratagems make up the build customization options in . Stratagems refer to any number of special abilities players can call in during a mission. They range from powerful weapons to defensive fortifications to orbital strikes, and can turn the tide of battle in a wide variety of ways. However, Stratagems usually have lengthy cooldowns, and some of them only have a limited number of uses. It's important to know when and where to call them in.
's worst primary weapon could get a buff if developers Arrowhead Studios listen to a recent poll. For months, fans have almost unanimously agreed that Marksman Rifles are notoriously weak in comparison to other weapons in the game, and are in desperate need of a buff of some sort.
mission modifiers can provide an interesting way to shake up the challenge of fighting Terminids or Automatons, but they work best when the changes add to the thrill of the gameplay rather than enhancing tedium. Although finding the right kind of balance in a game that's intended to reward complex strategy and high-level play can be difficult, is generally good at landing in the sweet spot. It's not completely consistent, but one new Booster could help counteract a particularly frustrating mission modifier to keep the game as fun as always.

Yet another example of developer Arrowhead Studios quietly dropping in additional content without notifying the community, the latest batch of Super Destroyer improvements is likely to help Helldivers push back against the invading Automaton fleet that's looking for revenge. The massive rush of Bots in the North-West sector has players scrambling to form some kind of defense to prevent the unrelenting enemy from advancing any closer to Super Earth.
Another premium Warbond for is right around the corner, bringing new weapons, armor, and more to the game. has been a breakout hit since its debut in February 2024, and two months later, it's continuing its steady stream of content with the Democratic Detonation Warbond. players have long questioned why one of the game's most valuable commodities can't be crafted but one fan took it upon themselves to fix the strange problem with an excellently simple mod. As adventurers explore the galaxy, they'll need to contend with all kinds of enemies, and more of than not some kind of gun is the best way of dealing with them. Despite the prevalence and effectiveness of firearms, Bethesda Game Studios didn't include a way for players to craft ammunition, something that's puzzled the community since 's launch.
