Telltale Games Confirms The Wolf Among Us 2 Is Still In Development

If you can believe it, The Wolf Among Us 2 was first announced back in 2019. It's been nothing but bad news ever since, with various delays pushing the game back further and further, finally ending with a vague release date of 2024 that we have no idea Telltale will actually be able to meet. Thankfully, we've had a few positive updates recently, including confirmation the game is still in development, and now we have some new screenshots to pore over.

Telltale Games' long-in-the-works The Wolf Among Us 2 has resurfaced with new screenshots following last year's delay, with the studio saying it's «been heads down» on the project.

When The Wolf Among Us 2 was re-announced five years ago, many had hoped that the game would finally have a smooth development cycle on the road to launch, but it has hit a number of significant stumbles behind-the-scenes since that time, and that launch has continued to be pushed back. Recently, developer Telltale Games broke months of silence on the game by sharing four new gameplay screenshots, accompanying which, the developer has also issued a brief statement.

A few hours ago, Geoff Keighley himself shared four new screenshots of The Wolf Among Us 2 on Twitter. The long-anticipated sequel has been in the works for several years now at Telltale, ever since the announcement at The Game Awards 2019.

New screenshots have been revealed for The Wolf Among Us 2. The video game adaptation of Bill Willingham's Fables comics has been long-anticipated. The first Wolf Among Us game began its release in 2013, ultimately publishing a complete collection of all five episodes in 2015. Since then, fans have been excited to see a return to Bigby Wolf's story, as the game and comics have left enough potential for plenty of other parts of the world to explore in The Wolf Among Us 2.

Five years after it was first announced, The Wolf Among Us 2 is "now in production" at Telltale, and here are four new screenshots to prove it. 

Plenty of long-awaited video games remain in development for years, seeing starts, stops and even restarts. Telltale Games’ The Wolf Among Us 2 is no exception, but like the Big Bad Wolf himself, it’s still kicking. Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley announced that the project has entered production and shared some new images.

The end is approaching for Netflix's uneven The Witcher adaptation; the streaming service has officially renewed the show for a fifth season, which will be its last.

While Xbox Game Pass is set to gain a selection of fantastic Day-One releases in the back half of April, subscribers may want to act fast to play the six games leaving the service in the coming weeks. To offset the amount of titles the platform offers, Microsoft always removes a handful of games whenever it brings in a new selection for players to experience. While that might sound like a bad deal, it makes sense given the already massive catalog on offer and users can still pick up the departing games for a discount before they eventually leave.

Apparently, we've been missing out on a whole load of behind-the-scenes footage from the making of GTA 5, that the cast claim was all filmed but never actually used. Now, we just can't help but wonder what moments have been locked away, never to be released to the world.

It's fantastic news for any hardcore fans of PlayStation's somewhat forgettable loyalty program, as it's now possible to grab a copy of Helldivers 2 without spending any extra money. Unfortunately though, that's assuming that you've already spent lots of money in the last year and a half, to the point where claiming this reward really doesn't seem realistic for a lot of people.

Skybound Games has just announced a brand-new AAA video game set in the Invincible comic universe. Alongside the unexpected reveal, the developers simultaneously launched a crowdfunding campaign with the aim of raising $5million towards the ambitious Invincible project.
