A new survey from Epic Games related to Fortnite's Crew subscription suggests that the developer is considering a major upgrade to the service. The massively popular battle royale from Epic Games offers players a wide variety of ways to pick up its wealth of in-game cosmetics, regularly adding plenty of new skins, pickaxes, and more. Alongside the in-game store, Fortnite's many Battle Passes offer incentives for playing the game, with LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival also boasting their own battle pass. Now, Epic Games is considering a major change to the Crew subscription.
Aside from Fortnite's rotating battle passes, «Fortnite Crew» offers special rewards for players looking to get more out of the battle royale. Fortnite's Crew subscription gifts players with an exclusive «Crew Pack» at the start of every month, featuring skins and cosmetics only available through the service. A Crew subscription also grants full access to Fortnite's ongoing Battle Pass, as well as 1,000 V-Bucks per month for players to spend in Fortnite's in-game shop. A newly rolled-out survey could now be hinting at even more perks to come for Crew subscribers.
An update shared by popular Fortnite Twitter user ShiinaBR reveals that Fortnite is reportedly considering expanding the scope of Crew subscriptions. According to the post, Epic Games recently debuted a survey asking fans whether all of Fortnite's separate Passes should be included in Crew. The proposed change would see Fortnite Crew members now gain access to the LEGO Pass for LEGO Fortnite and Festival Pass for FortniteFestival as part of the subscription. Shiina added later that the Crew update would also include the game's new event passes as part of the subscription.
The addition of the LEGO Pass and Festival Pass to Fortnite's Crew subscription would add significant value to an already stacked service. Fortnite's Battle Pass typically costs 950 of the game's V-Bucks currency, with Crew also awarding 1,000 V-Bucks per month on top of Premium Battle Pass access. The LEGO Premium Pass costs an additional 1,400 V-Bucks to purchase, while the Festival Pass comes at a higher price point of 1,800 V-Bucks. The Fortnite Crew subscription also includes Rocket Pass Premium for the Epic Games-owned Rocket League.
Epic Games' proposed changes to Fortnite's Crew subscription comes on the heels of the game's newest highly-anticipated crossover. Fortnite officially detailed its 2024 Star Wars event earlier this week, with new content coming for each of its different games. The update will see the introduction of Chewbacca as an in-game skin, alongside new items and areas for LEGO Fortnite and the «Cantina Band» song being added to Fortnite Festival.
