Steam's revised policy to allow "the vast majority of games" using AI

Striking Distance Studios, the developer of The Callisto Protocol, has started development on its next project, as per a job ad published by the studio.

Palworld is the second-biggest Steam game by concurrent players in the platform's history, an out-of-nowhere smash hit that's risen above the likes of Elden Ring, Baldur's Gate 3, and Hogwarts Legacy to settle between Counter-Strike 2 and PUBG. Microsoft has snapped up 11 bit studios’ promising city-builder sequel Frostpunk 2 as a day-one PC Game Pass title.

The denizens of Frostpunk are, understandably, quite grumpy so-and-sos a lot of the time, but through their cries of "More heat!" and "Please can we not with the human waste hothouse jobs!", I reckon even they'd be quite pleased to hear that Frostpunk 2 will be heading to PC Game Pass on its day of release (with Xbox Game Pass following when it arrives on consoles). Alas, we still don't know exactly when it's coming out yet, but in the mean time, why not gather round the burning barrel of 11 Bit's very first gameplay trailer for it while we wait?

FromSoftware’s been somewhat quiet about Elden Ring’s upcoming paid expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree. While it confirmed in December 2023 that it’s still “some ways off,” rumors indicated a potential launch in February. Whatever the case may be, an announcement could be coming sooner than later.

Mortal Kombat 2 producer Todd Garner has shared an intriguing new tease ahead of the film’s sequel, and everyone is convinced they know who it is. As you can see from the picture below, it shows a gray hand wearing a black robe, and while there’s not a lot to go on, we’re pretty convinced that it is Quan Chi.

Following its last couple of updates, Halo Infinite has enjoyed something of a turnaround (or a mini-turnaround, at least) in recent months, and though 343 Industries is obviously going to continue live service operations for the first-person shooter, it looks like the developer also has the series’ next instalment in the works.
