A new mod for Starfield is bridging the gap between Bethesda's space-faring RPG and the Star Wars universe by bringing a classic spaceship from the movies to the game. While there are a lot of options for players wanting to build their own ship in Starfield, this mod adds 15 new custom-made parts, which can either be assembled to recreate the classic ship or be incorporated into other ship designs.
Fans seem to agree that ship building in Starfield is one of the game's best features. Players can pick up a wide variety of ships in a number of ways — stealing them, getting them as mission rewards, or buying them from a wide number of manufacturers and service technicians — and with very few exceptions, they're all customizable, with a ship builder function that lets players choose everything from the engines and weapons to the general ship layout and paint job for each individual piece.
However expansive the ship building function might be in the base game, it still has a finite number of parts, so one modder has taken to creating a mod that gives players the ability to build the Naboo N-1 Starfighter first introduced in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace in 1999. The ship that can be recreated from the parts in the Star Wars Naboo N-1 Starfighter 1999 mod is the same type of ship from which a young Anakin Skywalker once delivered his now infamous Star Wars line about podracing. There is a DIY element to getting the N-1 with this mod, as a player will still have to disassemble another ship and build the new one from scratch, but luckily, the creator also included step-by-step instructions on how to place the parts and paint the ship to make it resemble the one from the movies, which should take about 15 minutes from start to finish.
According to its creator, the ship created by this mod may be a little more cramped than a lot of ships Starfield players may be used to. The bay is nonexistent, and players will have to use an invisible ladder to get inside while standing under the ship. Likewise, there is no visible landing gear, and players will have to dismiss their companions before entering, because there is practically no interior. While it has a lot of limitations compared to most ships in the game, all of that combines to create an accurate recreation of one of the best ships in Star Wars.
This isn't actually the first time someone has revealed a custom-made Star Wars Naboo Starfighter in Starfield. But unlike previous designs, which had to rely on the stock ship parts that come standard in the game, the custom parts available in this mod add so many more photorealistic elements, such as the blue glow adorning the twin forward engines, the trademark pointed tail of the ship, and of course, the
