Stardew Valley mini-update adds pet adoption, fixes moss issues arising from the 1.6 mega-update

A Stardew Valley fan jokingly asked for Pelican Town's slightly off-center fountain to be the headlining improvement in a hypothetical 1.7 update. While the request could be included in a future Stardew Valley patch, it might be a while seeing that the game just received a major update.

Yet another new patch is on the way to Stardew Valley on PC, this time promising to iron out more bugs and even add "a few goodies."

Stardew Valley just received a big update about two weeks ago, bringing many new features and items to the game and it has had players enjoying themselves ever since. However, the update was only avaliable on PC and not to those on console and mobile. But, that is about to change.

Update 1.6 recently launched for Stardew Valley on PC, and it was a much more significant one than you’d expect to see for an indie title that released eight years ago. With 8-player multiplayer support, new Festivals and endgame content, and more, Update 1.6 added a hefty chunk of new content and features, following which the game saw a significant boost in player numbers on Steam– but when exactly will the update become available for players on other platforms?

Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone has released patch 1.6.3 for PC that implements a variety of improvements and bug fixes for the popular indie game. Some of the issues fixed in this update were introduced with Stardew Valley's major patch earlier in March.

Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update has reportedly added a new way to complete the Mayor Lewis quest and unlock the Lucky Purple Shorts item. In a recent update, developer Eric Barone has teased Stardew Valley players by introducing a certain twist to this quest that references an old in-game bug.

Eric «ConcernedApe» Barone, the developer of Stardew Valley, took to the internet recently to inform players about a useful feature that many may have missed throughout their playthroughs. Barone's popular farm life simulator received a major update in March that introduced new content like items and events, as well as several quality-of-life improvements, among other things.

Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update has given players a new way to get their hands on Mayor Lewis’ coveted Lucky Purple Shorts, while referencing a popular bug found in earlier versions of the game.

The past week has seen Stardew Valley players hungrily exploring the wealth of new content, bug fixes, and Easter eggs that have made their way to the PC version of the beloved farming RPG courtesy of the newly released 1.6 update.

Developer ConcernedApe has said that work on his next game, Haunted Chocolatier, will continue when Stardew Valley's 1.6 update is complete.
