RuneScape developer Jagex soon to be acquired in £900m deal, report suggests

Old School RuneScape – and also regular RuneScape – developer Jagex has a new corporate owner, but it's business as usual for the MMO's community, which is still hard at work finishing grinds that nobody, not one soul on this Earth, asked or expected them to actually do. The latest landmark achievement comes from well-liked content creator Limpwurt, who's finally emerged from a self-imposed grind that started some 2,500 hours of game time ago in August 2023, but at least he's got a really cool cape and a baby mole to show for it. 

Warner Bros.‘ free-to-play platform fighter went offline last year with the promise of a full launch in early 2024. Now it seems like the game’s relaunch is coming soon as the previously leaked MultiVersus and McDonald’s collaboration has been confirmed on the fast food giant’s website.

One of the most exciting upcoming Star Wars projects might have a release window – and it's coming very soon. 

The CEO of Jagex, Phil Mansell, has reassured players of the developer and publisher’s massively multiplayer online role-playing games, RuneScape and Old School RuneScape, that the company being acquired won’t negatively impact the games. Namely, «there are no intentions of changing our [games’] business models.”

Jagex Limited has been acquired for the fifth time in its 25-year history, prompting fans to joke through another corporate shakeup.
