Rockstar has raised GTA+ prices by up to 40%

In its most recent quarterly report, Remedy Entertainment has provided updates on which stage of production each of its many current projects is at.

Gigabyte has introduced the Aorus CO49DQ, a new QD-OLED gaming monitor, in India. The 49-inch monitor sports an extra-wide curved QD-OLED display with 5120 x 1440 pixel resolution and a high refresh rate of 144Hz ideal for gaming. Gigabyte claims that the Aorus CO49DQ comes with AI-powered features, two five-watt speakers, and a three-year warranty. The new gaming monitor will be available to buy in India starting April 31.

Grand Theft Auto 5 has received multiple updates over the years, adding new content, missions, heists and more to GTA Online, but the game has never received a story expansion since its initial release in 2013. Past reports have mentioned scrapped plans for story DLCs for the game, and more recently leaked database file from GTA 5 suggested that developers Rockstar Games cancelled a story mode DLC related to Trevor, one of the game's three main protagonists. Now, the actor who played the eccentric character in GTA 5 has said that he “shot some stuff” for a Trevor DLC that never saw the light of day.

Without warning, it’s suddenly seen a price increase. As reported by GameSpot and VGC, the subscription service has gone from $5.99/€5.99/£4.99 monthly to $7.99/€7.99/£6.99.

Following the recent price hike for EA Play, as well as price bumps for other video game subscription services over the last year, Rockstar's GTA+ is getting more expensive too.

Grand Theft Auto V has continued to bring in players regularly, allowing the game to live on for a long time. But while the dough kept coming in for the online component of Grand Theft Auto V, it presented the idea of rolling out a subscription service with GTA+.
