Redfall doesn’t have enough Steam players to fill a team

Sociable Soccer, the spiritual successor to the classic arcade football game Sensible Soccer, will finally be making its way to consoles in the form of Sociable Soccer 24. Set to release November 16 on Steam and Nintendo Switch, the series has previously been an Apple Arcade exclusive. However, now that the exclusivity deal has expired, the series is ready to jump from mobile to the big screen. 

Skill Based Matchmaking has been a contentious issue in games for years. Simply put, it ranks you with players of a similar skill level, which means you'll face good players if you're good at the game. If you're bad at the game, you'll face bad players. Sounds fair, right? Not to the community, who are again outraged at the newest Call of Duty for implementing SBMM.

Every time a game comes out that includes some kind of vehicle or base-building feature, you just know that the recreations aren't too far behind. We saw shortly after launch of Starfield that someone recreated a whole bunch of spaceships from other games and movies, which included The Normandy from Mass Effect, The Millenium Falcon from Star Wars, and a Pelican from Halo. Unsurprisingly, it seems like Starfield has quite a few Halo fans in its community, as another recreation from the series has been gaining attention on social media.

Redfall was one of the big exclusives that Microsoft was pushing this year. It was a game to hopefully tie players over until their next major release, Starfield. However, critics and fans alike tore it to pieces when the game launched. There wasn’t enough substance to persuade players to continue logging in. Also, more than a few bugs made the game unappealing for those considering the game purchase or download from Xbox Game Pass. However, Arkane was not giving up on this title, and most recently, we saw a new update land on the game.

“Where the hell is the Silent Hill 2 remake?” is a question many of us have asked in recent months, with updates on the survival horror title having dried up entirely since its announcement a year ago. It seems, however, that Konami and developer Bloober Team may be planning another look at the game in the near future.

Bloober Team released Layers of Fear earlier this year, serving as a remake of Layers of Fear 1 and 2 (along with the Inheritance DLC) while tying it with a new protagonist, The Writer. It also featured new DLC focused on The Painter’s wife, who could be the subject of more Layers of Fear content.

We could be hearing more about the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake from Konami anytime now, as a new Steam backend update is one of many puzzle pieces that may just complete a picture that gives us more details about the remake of one of the horror genre’s best games.

The wait for The Wolf Among Us 2 has been a long one, and at times, it’s looked entirely unlikely that the sequel would ever happen, though there has been strong hope that the reformed Telltale Games will be able to deliver the long-awaited game. However, it seems to have hit some significant productions issues.

With a dwindling player count, a promised 60fps patch still not out, and months of silence from its developer, Redfall may be on its last legs.
