Real-time strategy space shooter Dust Fleet looks like a tactical Starfield

A gorgeous 3D Metroidvania that's "inspired by Nier Automata, Zelda, DMC, and The Witcher" is one heck of a pitch, and Anima Song From the Abyss has already fully captured my interest.

Bethesda’s leviathan space adventure Starfield is out in the wild, and players are busy exploring the countless planets and stars that populate the sprawling RPG. To mark its release, IGN is taking you on an orbital tour of Starfield's digital solar system, featuring every major planet around Earth's star, with a few of the choicest moons thrown in along the way.

I'm a devout Warlock main in Destiny 2, and my fellow robe enthusiasts and I have a running gag that low-rarity Warlock helmets all look like a diaper strapped to your face, optionally with the class-mandated vertical visor down the middle. I mention this because I'm getting a worryingly similar vibe from Starfield's Mantis armor, which is by far one of the strongest early-game armor sets you can find, but its impressive stats come at the cost of egregious fashion crimes. 

Starfield is a surprisingly demanding PC game, requiring a fairly hefty GPU and CPU to run it smoothly at anything approaching max specs even at 1080p. And, alas, it’s just a bit much for the Steam Deck to handle unless you’re happy to sacrifice visual fidelity, framerate or - in most cases - both if you plan on spending your time doing anything except browsing menus (though there’ll be plenty of that).

I don't have any firsthand insight to share on Void Stranger, which surprise-released on Friday, but when I read words like "forgotten labyrinth" and "traps that defy reason", I find myself reaching for my pen and inkwell, and when I encounter visuals that remind of the nastier Zelda dungeons on Game Boy, I start vibrating gently in my chair, and when I see monochrome anime story scenes set to howling guitar and fuzzy chip tunes - well, here we are.

According to Bethesda, a lot is going to happen between now and 2330, when Starfield is set. Most obviously, if we follow the timeline setout by the developer, humans will be able to gallivant around in space and planet hop as casually as popping across The Channel for a quick visit to France. In fact, possibly even more casually than that.

Time is precious so, use it wisely. We all have limited hours in a day to complete our to-do lists, and interact with our loved ones. To make the most of our time, boost productivity and cut out repetitive tasks, technology can be deployed to help out. Look for tools that simplify your work and Zoom has just rolled out a nifty feature that can be used even during video calls.

Look, I'm not one to stifle creativity, but someone probably needs to restrain the world's marketing departments until we figure out what's going on. As spotted by PCGamesN, CCL Computers—a UK PC parts company—has ginned up the most baffling Starfield-themed competition yet. It's launched a gaming PC to «the outer edges of the Earth's atmosphere» over the UK to celebrate the launch of Bethesda's long-awaited space epic, and then used it to dump a bunch of golden tickets across dear old Albion.
