PS Plus September 2023 Extra and Premium Games Possibly Leaked Once More

The new PlayStation Plus games for October 2023 have been officially announced by Sony, giving players an insight into what they can expect for the upcoming month in terms of content. Even with the restructuring of the entire PS Plus subscription tiers and prices, players of all levels still get three monthly games for free, which can be downloaded and played at any time, so long as the user is still subscribed to the service. The titles offered by PS Plus tend to be varied, which in turn provides players with various experiences every month instead of a single month full of FPS games, for instance.

In a surprise announcement at Eve Fanfest in Reykjavik, Iceland, CCP Games has announced its brand-new standalone FPS game, Eve Vanguard. Being developed using Unreal Engine 5, the shooter will see players take on the role of the Vanguard for the first time ever, and will be available separately to the main Eve Online experience.

Football season is in full swing and we are pleased to announce the new PS5 Console – EA Sports FC 24 Bundle. Perfect for all fans of The World’s Game, the bundle will be available beginning Friday, September 29 – the day the new game releases – and will open for pre-orders beginning Monday, September 25. 

As massive Vanillaware fanboys, we think September's PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium update is especially tasteful, but as always, we want to know what you think of the selection. Just to recap, this month's line-up is headlined by NieR Replicant, Star Ocean: The Divine Force, and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. And then you've got a whole bunch of other Star Ocean titles, most of Vanillaware's back catalogue, and a handful of interesting indies, like Unpacking and Call of the Sea.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… leads the pack of new titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium catalogue, this month. Starting September 19, all higher-tier PS Plus members can delve into a post-apocalyptic realm where machines and androids are stuck in a proxy war, and follow a brother's quest to cure his sister Yonah from a life-threatening disease. Fight back sickness-ridden monstrosities through a customisable blend of magic and swordplay, all the while accompanied by a talking book. NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… will be available on the PS4. Another standout this month is Unpacking, a calm puzzle game where you pull possessions out of cardboard boxes and decorate homes — jumping in time and across houses to slowly unspool an intimate story. It's out on PS4 and PS5.

It wasn’t long ago that we reported on the leaked list showcasing a few games coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog. Now, today, we have the official rundown of the games coming to the subscription service. If you have yet to check out the list from the official PlayStation Blog, we’ll list down what games you can expect this month. Of course, just like past reveals, players won’t be able to dive into the collection of games right away. Instead, all the titles revealed within the post are coming to the subscription service on September 19, 2023.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the September 2023 Game Catalog lineup for Extra and Premium subscribers, and Classics Catalog titles for Premium subscribers.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for September will be NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139..., Star Ocean The Divine Force, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Sid Meier's Civilization VI, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 and Unpacking.

Tokyo Game Show is set to kick off later this month on September 21, and over the course of several days, the event will see several major companies talking about some of their biggest upcoming releases. Microsoft will host the Xbox Digital Broadcast at Tokyo Game Show 2023 on September 21 at 2:00 a.m. PT / 5:00 a.m. ET / 18:00 JST, the company announced.
