Sony has today confirmed a new PlayStation overlay that will ship on its PC ports, with next month's Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut being the first to use it. You'll be able to access it from Windows PCs from either the in-game menu or by pressing «Shift + F1», which will pull up a new screen housing your PSN profile, friends list, and Trophies.

The PS Plus Essential monthly games lineup for April has now been officially confirmed by Sony, offering up yet another trio of treats for subscribers. The titles on offer will be available to claim from Tuesday 2nd April. Here's what you can look forward to in the latest lineup:

An interesting mix this month, then. Immortals of Aveum is a first-person shooter that equips you with magic instead of machine guns, and while it's far from perfect, we think it's well worth a try as part of your Plus membership. Minecraft Legends is an entertaining, if shallow, tactical spin-off that the whole family can enjoy, while Skul: The Hero Slayer is perhaps the least well-known, a side-scrolling action platformer with some roguelike elements.
The PS Blog also notes a new Overwatch 2 Mega Bundle, exclusive to PS Plus members. This includes Legendary Beekeeper Sigma, Legendary Art Deco Symmetra, seven Epic Skins, and five Battle Pass Tier Skips.

I knew Immortals would get there eventually, but I hope this provides the game a much needed audience. The game is surprisingly very good, and it deserves more attention.
I have heard great things about Immortals of Aveum and this Minecraft game, but there is just too much to play and too little time
Won't lie, I wanted to play immortals but couldn't part with the money due to reviews/too many other good games. It's a perfect service game for me to try something I really wanted to try for free..

A fruitful lineup in general but, between one game beyond my hardware library and two available on Switch, not of much use to me. Chances are I'll just briefly toss Skul on board for the points.
I think the less people speculate the better when it comes to these monthly games. All it serves to do is give folks unrealistic expectations and make the actual lineups look 10 times worse. Another average at best month. Sony should really read the room a bit better.

PS Plus Premium Brings Back Classic Alone in the Dark Horror for PS5, PS4 | Push Square
If the new Alone in the Dark PS5 reboot has given you a classic survival horror itch, then Sony's subscription service PS Plus Premium is looking to scratch it. Available from Tuesday, 16th April 2024, the old PS1 terror Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare will be available to members on the top tier, complete with all the bells and whistles that come with the re-releases Sony accepts on the service. Darkest Dungeon 2 Revealed for PS5, PS4 with a 15th July Release Date | Push Square
Red Hook Studios has today confirmed Darkest Dungeon 2 will be releasing for PS5 and PS4 on 15th July 2024. Its DLC, The Binding Blade, is also being ported across to Sony systems, though you'll need to buy it on top of the base game. PS Plus Game Catalog Titles for April Announced: Dave the Diver, Animal Well, Tales of Kenzera: Zau and More
Sony has revealed the slate of games joining the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in April. In the coming weeks, PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier members will get access to deep-sea exploration RPG Dave the Diver, Metroidvania action title Tales of Kenzera: Zau, indie platformer Animal Well, open-world racing title Crew 2, action platformer Raji: An Ancient Epic and more. Most of these games will be available on the PS Plus catalogue on April 16. Tales of Kenzera: Zau and Animal Well, on the other hand, will join the service as day-one launch titles on April 23 and May 9, respectively.

Dave the Diver Will Launch on PS Plus Extra, Free for Members on 16th April | Push Square
Dave the Diver team Mintrocket has today announced the PS5 and PS4 versions of its 2023 indie hit will release on 16th April 2024, and they'll be available straight away via PS Plus Extra also. Current members of Sony's subscription service will be able to download and play the game without charge, granting them access to the original experience and a bit of Godzilla-themed DLC in May.
