PowerWash Simulator has attracted more than 12 million players since its release.
That's according to developer FuturLab, who posted on its website thanking the game's community. The studio also called out its numerous downloadable content packs for PowerWash Simulator, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Back to the Future and Warhammer 40k.
Powerwash Simulator initially released into Steam Early Access in 2021, with a 1.0 launch coming the following year.
"We are continuously in awe of the impact our game has made on people," Futurlab CEO Kirsty Rigden said.
"Now with a staggering 12 million players, it’s clear that there’s a desire for games like PowerWash Simulator that provide a soothing sense of satisfaction – and we intend to make them!"
FuturLab was recently acquired by developer and publisher Miniclip. No figure was put on the deal.
In May 2023, FuturLab announced that Powerwash Simulator had brought in over seven million players.
The title has been in Xbox's Game Pass subscription, meaning that today's announcement doesn't translate to 12 million sales.

There isn’t another game series more loaded with pop culture references than Goat Simulator. Pilgor, the crazy, ragdoll-tossed, licking protagonist of the series has been getting up to endlessly stupid hijinks for 10 years, and what started as a daft premise built from a game jam idea has now spawned a decade of insanity, spoofing almost every major video game along the way such as Skyrim, Dead Island and even P.T.
The Fallout craze continues to pay dividends for Bethesda. Earlier this week, the studio announced that Fallout 76 surpassed one million daily players across all platforms for the first time since its launch in late 2018. The multiplayer game is one of the top sellers on Steam (and elsewhere), largely thanks to various promotions and offers that have, however, since ended. On Valve's PC platform, the game reached 73.3K concurrent players last Sunday.
I'm the kind of awful person who looks at the background actors in TV shows and wonders what life is like for e.g. the old woman who sells birdfeed in Trafalgar Square in Mary Poppins when said upper-middle class domestic isn't singing about her. What fate the Warcraft grunt when he is too old to work work? It's probably pretty bad, right? Now let me slop Innkeep down in front of you like a big bowl of rat stew. Developer Daniel Burke furnished me with a little playable slice, and boy, Innkeep is a grim old time. I mean that as a compliment.
