Pokémon Scarlet/Violet Mew & Mewtwo Trailer Debuts the Iconic Legendaries

Pokemon fans will no doubt be aware that when it comes to the backstories of Ghost types, Game Freak goes pretty hard. Never mind that Pokemon is a series primarily aimed at kids, Drifloon is going to steal children and Banette is an abandoned doll with nothing but revenge in its head. Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is no exception, but newly revealed 'mon Poltchageist definitely takes the award for the game's most messed up critter to date.

With new DLC comes new Pokemon. However, in this specific case, it seems we won’t be seeing any new type combos. While ghost types certainly are interesting, especially from a story perspective, the balance of dual types variety is constantly in flux with each new generation. Now it seems we have a bit of a surplus with this latest reveal: Poltchageist.

When it comes to Pokemon, its fanbase is always working on cool new projects. With the excitement in full swing for the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, players are hyped for the new creatures coming to the game.

Microsoft’s sizeable first party portfolio has had its fair share of ups and downs of late, but there’s little doubt in anyone’s mind that Hi-Fi Rush has been one of its best and biggest victories. Recently, developer Tango Gameworks announced that the gorgeous rhythm action game had surpassed 3 million players since it launched earlier this year, and apparently, Microsoft is ecstatic with Tango as a group on the back of that success.

Pokémon Unite is celebrating its 2nd anniversary. With it comes many events, and one of the most powerful Pokémon finally joins the fray, Mewtwo. Pokémon Unite was released in 2021 and has become one of the most successful free-to-play MOBAs on PC and mobile. Totaling over 100 million worldwide downloads and with consistent content releases, the game is not slowing down anytime soon.

Every generation of starters will appear in the second part of the expansion.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet turns a year old in November, and performance-wise, there isn't a lot to show for it. We mean in-game performance of course - sales-wise, it broke records. But for anyone hoping that patches would make the game prettier or at least more stable, it's been a disappointing first year.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's second DLC expansion, the Indigo Disk, will bring back all of the old starter Pokemon. This was just revealed in a new trailer, giving us a better look at the DLC that's expected to launch towards the end of this year.

At the Pokemon Presents August showcase, the company had a surprise announcement about a new TCG anime. Called Pokemon: Path to the Peak, the new short follows a young girl called Ava who joins her new school’s Pokemon club.

During a special Pokémon presentation, we got a new look at upcoming DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. There are two expansions for the games both of which lead you on new, exciting adventures. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero consists of part 1: The Teal Mask and part 2: The Indigo Disk.
