Nintendo's war against emulators seems far from over, as the Discord servers of two Yuzu Nintendo Switch emulator forks were recently removed following a court-ordered injunction.
As reported by The Verge, the Discord servers of the Suyu and Sudachi emulators were recently removed, and the developers' accounts were disabled after being notified by Discord how they were allegedly sharing content violating intellectual property. Discord director of product communications Kellyn Slone also confirmed to The Verge the servers were removed and the accounts disabled due to a court ordered injunction.
"Discord responds to and complies with all legal and valid Digital Millennium Copyright Act requests. In this instance, there was also a court-ordered injunction for the takedown of these materials, and we took action in a manner consistent with the court order."
While the code for the Nintendo Switch emulators Suyu and Sudachi were not hosted on Discord, there's the chance that production keys, firmware, and full games were shared via these servers, justifying Discord's actions. Still, the situation doesn't seem very clear, as Sudachi developer Jarrod Norwell confirmed that the first communication regarding the matter only talked about a generic breaking of Discord's TOS without any further detail. Considering how the Suyu and Sudachi codes were also getting reworked to prevent Nintendo from taking action, Discord may have acted to avoid confronting Nintendo directly.
With Suyu and Sudachi continuing to struggle for various reasons, the only safe Nintendo Switch emulator remains Ryujinx, whose development is constantly progressing and its Discord server running. You can learn more about the emulator by going here.

Being able to play and on the Nintendo Switch has been the dream of many console owners since its launch, but the smart thing to do at this point is to accept that it's not going to happen.
