Paradox reveals new 4X game Millennia, and it looks like Civilization
After a week of hints and teasers, Paradox Interactive has finally revealed its new title: Millennia. In Millennia, players will create their own nation in a historical turn-based 4X environment. From there, players will shape the nation across 10,000 years of history starting with the dawn of humanity and stretching into the future. According to Paradox, each playthrough will be unique as you craft an epic story based on your actions. The new strategy title is being developed by C Prompt Games, who doesn’t seem to have much of a history. Based on their Steam page, the only previous title by them is a digital board game called Heretic Operative. A teaser trailer was included in the announcement that briefly shows some of the many different Ages you can experience.

Everything about Sega’s new Yakuza game looks bonkers
Sega’s next game in the Like A Dragon franchise, formerly known in the West as Yakuza, is coming in January. Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth sends the franchise to Hawaii, where protagonist Ichiban Kasuga travels in search of his mother, only to wind up penniless and at rock bottom. Former Yakuza hero Kazuma Kiryu is also playable in Infinite Wealth, and based on Sega’s first gameplay trailer for the next Like A Dragon game, everything the duo will do is beyond ridiculous.

Nevertheless, there’s one entry in the series that has always divided even the most devout Doom fans. Doom 3, from 2004, exchanges the fast-paced, kill-chain style of its predecessors for something slower and more horror driven. It’s still a great game, but imagine a complete Doom 3 remake, that tries to fix some of the flaws and maximise all the greatest moments. This is Retchid, a new Steam shooter that feels like a completely new Doom game, and a full reimagining of the original Doom 3.
