New Loot in the Blizzard Gear Store - The War Within Mouse Mat, Alliance & Horde Signet Rings

Warning: Spoilers for World of Warcraft: The War Within below.

World of Warcraft is adding a new arachnophobia mode in The War Within that transforms every spider in the game into a crustacean. This hilarious new accessibility tool literally changes the game, turning pets, mounts, and enemies in World of Warcraft into crabs and lobsters.

Blizzard held a Content Creator Summit and we participated in a group interview where a couple of kindly devs addressed questions from Content Creators. The devs for this interview were:

Players looking to race through new content might have a bit of a headstart with new Enchantments coming in The War Within — both for Mount Speed and Character Speed! Some particularly interesting Enchantments caught our eye while datamining in The War Within: While most of these Enchantments add the Speed tertiary stat to player character speed, one Enchantment seems to offer an increase in Mounted speed — Cavalry's March. Players have loved effects such as Crusader Aura which increase Mounted speed, and having even a small boost on your Boots would be a welcome gift for players that don't necessarily worry about mix-maxing for raiding or other content.

Blizzard has outlined the goals of the Fire Mage Rework, now live on the War Within Alpha! They want to address maintenance buffs, and allow for more choices in AoE!

Blizzard has posted development notes on the General and Affliction Talent Tree reworks in The War Within, noting that they want Malefic Rapture to be the go-to spender for both single-target and multi-target situations.

Blizzard has posted Developer Notes for War Within Alpha Build #2 which includes 2 new dungeons and 1 new zone!

Similarly to what happened to Solo Shuffle in Dragonflight, The War Within is formalizing Battleground Blitz addition to the PvP modes of WoW. This addition includes new seasonal rewards exclusive to the mode.

The War Within is packed full of new cosmetic Transmogs to earn, so finding some linked to the Professions system is a no-brainer! Players will be able to learn a new Artisan's Ensemble in The War Within — but only after putting in some work, first.
