Mario Vs. Donkey Kong Gets New Local Co-Op And Casual Modes

Nintendo’s Mario vs. Donkey Kong remake might not be the most high-profile of upcoming releases, but if you were a fan of the Game Boy Advance original, it’s likely a game that you’ve got an eye on. From redone visuals two new worlds to Time Attack and Casual modes, there’s plenty of new things that the remake is bringing to the table- with co-op being another notable one.

Developer Demagog Studio and publisher Rogue Games have released a new trailer for upcoming adventure game Highwater. The trailer focuses on the game’s upcoming PC and console release, and you can check it out below. The game was previously slated for release in 2023, and before that, in 2022.

Donkey Kong wants Mini-Marios, which are unavailable in stores. He then raids Mario’s toy factory and steals them, leading to Mario chasing him.

These two have been battling it out for decades in one form or another, and during the Game Boy Advanced days, Nintendo brought that to life in a new format via the Mario Vs Donkey Kong series. The titles had platforming and puzzle mechanics mixed together, and it worked rather well. After all, it did have several entries. Fast forward to 2024, and the remake of the original title is only a few weeks away from dropping on the Nintendo Switch.
