SEGA and RGG Studio have released an extended look at Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, and we won't beat around the bush: this is set up to be another amazing Kiryu adventure. The story stuff looks deliciously dramatic, and the gameplay — particularly the combat — looks like an absolute blast. The wait for its November launch just got a lot harder.
We're also given a glimpse of the game's optional activities — which are typically nuts. We've got live action hostess dates, classic karaoke, and the return of model car racing. Plus darts, golf, billiards, and a suite of SEGA arcade titles. Oh, and you can even customise Kiryu's appearance, using accessories and outfits. What a time to be alive.
But that's not all! The above trailer reveals that Like a Dragon Gaiden will include a 'Special Trial Version' of next year's Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. It'll be available to download when Gaiden releases on the 9th November.
It's a good day to be a Like a Dragon fan, then. Are you looking forward to Gaiden? Feel the pain of Kiryu crying in the comments section below.
Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he's not practising combos, he's usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y'know, replaying The Witcher 3.
I want Infinite Wealth so bad
@LordAinsley Don't we all!
@LordAinsley I too want Infinite Wealth. Oh and Like A Dragon 8 looks pretty cool as well
I just recently got into this series and loving it. Currently playing Yakuza 6 now so I'm all about this update.
No physical version sucks. I'll probably wait until they release one, or just import the asian version.
@mariomaster96 FYI — Like a Dragon 8 is Infinite Wealth — they renamed it.
@JbumiSandra FYI that was a joke ^^
Can't wait for both games!
Cannot wait. Looking forward to this more than just about any game coming out in the foreseeable future, Spider Man notwithstanding.
I'm really hoping a physical version pops at some point, although I probably won't wait on that for once.
Game looks so good, can't wait.
I just pre-ordered a physical copy (with English subs) from Playasia since it will be otherwise digital-only in the west
