Sega also publishes the series, which takes place in the modern era, like the games, but centers on high schoolers battling supernatural threats. avoids science fiction and supernatural elements, but it is more noteworthy for its hero being a mature adult, as Kiryu is currently in his 50s in the game’s timeline.

Alongside a new trailer showing what Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will sound like in English, Sega also confirmed Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name's English dub will release for free this month. The new trailer shows scenes that will be familiar to anyone who watched the Japanese trailer back in September, but it's nice to hear familiar voices connected to this new footage. During today's PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, RGG brought out a new English language trailer with a first look at Kim and Trejo's roles.

Marking the series' first venture outside of Japan, the upcoming title will transport players to the tourist hotspot of Hawaii — Honolulu City, to be exact. Developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio claims that the vast new stage is more than three times the size of Yakuza: Like a Dragon's Isezaki Ijincho, the suburb where the afro-haired Kasuga Ichiban was introduced. That means, the Hawaii map is nearly nine times the size of the Kamurocho district, the series' primary Japanese setting punctuated by shops, restaurants, and nightclubs, where we dabbled in action-packed illicit acts through the eyes of Kazuma Kiryu, the series' main protagonist who keeps getting pulled back into the life of crime.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's Hawaii will be the biggest Yakuza map to date, coming in at three times the size of Yakuza: Like a Dragon's Isezaki Ijincho and nine times the size of series mainstay Kamurocho.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has revealed fresh new details on Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the next mainline entry in the series. It’s set in Honolulu City, Hawaii, and a new tweet says the location is over three times bigger than Yakuza: Like a Dragon’s Isezaki Ijincho in Yokohama. While it sounds absurd, it does explain the eighth title being the series’ longest yet.
