Earlier this month, we reported that OnePlus Open had been allegedly delayed. While at that time, the sources suggested that it was happening because OnePlus was moving to panels from Samsung Display rather than the BOE, but the latest renders that have surfaced just now tell us that there is more than just a change of panel.
Coming from OnLeaks and SmartPrix, the latest renders show that the foldable now has a much rounder screen on the outside, and not just that, the OnePlus Open also seems to have a design that is a lot similar to Pixel Fold than it is to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. While the reason behind this change is still unknown, I am glad that the company made this design decision because it makes the foldable much more compact and pocketable. You can see how the new form factor looks side by side with the old one.
So, OnePlus Open now has rounded corners, the outer screen is also more rounded, and I have a feeling that the phone is going to be a bit shorter, as well. This design looks similar to what OPPO and Google have with their foldable phones, and honestly, I am a fan of this form factor as it is a lot easier to handle. Foldable phones can be massive in hand and feel out of place, but this design choice takes care of it, as it helps make it more ergonomic.
The source has revealed that the camera has also received a significant upgrade over the previous one. The new camera module is larger than the last one. You are getting three large sensors n the back, including a periscope telephoto camera. There is a possibility of either a Time of Flight (ToF) or a LiDAR sensor that will be under the Hasselblad branding. The front-facing camera has also been moved to the right from the left.
The rest of the specifications remain the same. The leaked rumors suggest that the OnePlus Open will offer a 7.8-inch internal display and a 6.3-inch outer display. Both of them will be using a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 256 gigs of base storage, and 16 gigs of RAM. On the back, the phone will offer two 48-megapixel cameras, one for the primary sensor and the other for ultra-wide, and the periscope telephoto camera will be 64-megapixel. You are also looking at a sizeable 4,800 mAh battery and a 67W fast wired charging. The phone was supposed to debut on August 29th, later this month, but appears to have been delayed. We will keep you posted as we get more information on the new release date.

Xbox fans will be well aware that arguably this generation's biggest first-party exclusive is just around the corner. Starfield launches in just a couple of weeks, hopefully bringing to an end a rather disastrous dry spell for the platform that has been sprinkled with disappointing releases such as Redfall. It's no secret that Xbox has been struggling with first-party exclusives in comparison to PlayStation and Nintendo, but those at Xbox believe Starfield is the "starting gun" for a long period of regular releases over the next couple of years.

This week we say goodbye to one of our own, a myth, a legend: Riverdale is finally ending its legendary run after seven seasons. Riverdale went out like it lived: as a show few could comprehend while always being true to itself to the very end.
It’s hard to believe, but it looks like the voice of Mario in video games will soon be a bit different. Taking to Twitter today, Nintendo has revealed that the actor who was responsible for Mario’s voice for decades now is stepping back. From now on, it looks like Charles Martinet will not be the voice of Mario. However, it’s noted that Charles will be stepping into the role of Mario Ambassador. We’re not sure who will take the mantle in the future, but plenty of previous lines can likely be used in the meantime.

If I got to redesign Baldur's Gate 3 to fit my specific preferences, the first thing I'd do is get rid of the party system. My posse of Shadowheart, Astarion, and Karlach is great, but my favorite character to roleplay is the wandering ronin—the problem solver with an air of mystery who can take care of himself (Geralt of Rivia, essentially). But alas, BG3 is built with a full party of four in mind. You could try to fly solo, but difficulty doesn't scale to smaller parties, so fights would inevitably become impossibly punishing. Unless mods can save the day.
Being a meaty 25-30-hour experience that will encourage replays with multiple endings, the promise of co-op, New Game Plus, and more, Hexworks and CI Games’ upcoming Soulslike action RPG Lords of the Fallen is clearly not going to be lacking in content, but like with any game these days, that doesn’t mean we won’t get even more of it with post-launch additions.
