Frontier Developments has announced that it will make a third Jurassic World game.
The studio released park management game Jurassic World Evolution in 2018, and followed it up with Jurassic World Evolution 2.
Now it says it’s signed a licence with Universal for “a third Jurassic World game”, which is set to be released during Frontier’s financial year 2026 (between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026).
Although it wasn’t confirmed that the third game would have the Jurassic World Evolution name, Frontier has confirmed that it will be management game like its predecessors.
Frontier says the first Jurassic World Evolution is its best-selling game to date, and that both games rank first and second for the studio in terms of revenue made in the first two years.
The studio now plans to release one new “creative management simulation” (CMS) game every financial year.
An unannounced CMS game based on Frontier’s own IP will be released by the end of May 2025, and will be announced “in the coming months”.
This will be followed by the newly announced Jurassic World game by the end of May 2026, with a third CMS – which has yet to be announced – planned by the end of May 2027.
“We are delighted to reveal that we are developing a third Jurassic World game to extend our collaborative relationship with Universal Products & Experiences for our best-selling game franchise,” Frontier CEO Jonny Watts said in a statement.
“Our Jurassic World Evolution game franchise has showcased great creative and technical expertise in CMS games and the strength of our select, develop, launch, and nurture strategy in the genre. I very much look forward to providing more information on our exciting plans for the franchise in the future.”
