Jesse McCartney has confirmed in a recent interview that he has no idea if Roxas or Ventus will appear in Kingdom Hearts 4, as he doesn't seem to know that a new game is even in development.
Despite having been announced two years ago now, we know remarkably little about Kingdom Hearts 4 beyond the fact that a large portion of it will take place in Quadratum and that Star Wars appears to be one of the Disney worlds that Sora will visit. So far, the only returning characters that we know are making an appearance are Sora, Donald, Goofy, Strelitzia, and unknown members of Organisation XIII.
Despite the fourth Kingdom Hearts marking the start of a new trilogy and seemingly focusing on Sora more than ever before (our boy has never been alone like this!), fans are still hoping that classic original characters like Riku, Roxas, Ventus, Terra, Kairi, and more are going to show up at some point during the story. Sadly, the actor behind two of those iconic Kingdom Hearts figures has no clue if that will be the case.
During a recent interview with Popverse to discuss his new EP, All's Well, McCartney was asked about his voiceover work as Roxas and Ventus in Kingdom Hearts. Beyond revealing how McCartney's feelings towards the series have changed over time after seeing how passionate fans are about it, he also made an interesting comment about the possibility of Roxas and Ventus returning.
When asked about what it was like to return for Kingdom Hearts 3, McCartney noted how much bigger Kingdom Hearts has become over time, expressing how "exciting" it is to be a part of it and to be on that journey. He then says that he hopes that Square Enix is making another game, and that he has "no idea if they're going to" since they never tell him about it (something that Goofy's voice actor, Bill Farmer, has expressed in the past).
"It's just wild. I mean, it's just exciting to be a part of it and to have been on that journey. I hope they make another one. I have no idea if they're going to. They never tell us."
Of course, we all know that Kingdom Hearts 4 is currently in development after having been announced in 2022 for the 20th anniversary of the series, so McCartney saying that he hopes that another one is made indicates that he's not aware of the game's existence and that he's not currently involved in it as either Roxas or Ventus.
That could end up changing in the future as we have no idea how far along the game's development is or if work has even begun on its English dub but, for now, it seems as if Roxas, Ventus, and some other classic Kingdom Hearts characters might not show up in Kingdom Hearts 4 after all.

The creators of Fallout 4's ambitious Fallout: London mod have confirmed that the project won't be available on consoles once it's released, news that many fans may have already suspected. The intriguing Fallout 4 mod has recently run into a new set of issues due to a major update coming soon.
Fallout: London, the Fallout 4 mod set in a post-apocalyptic English capital that’s large enough to effectively be its own game, has been hit by an indefinite delay just two weeks from its planned release date. The reason? Fallout 4’s long-in-the-works next-gen update is now due to drop just two days after London’s planned launch date, which its fan devs say will “simply break” the ambitious project.
According to a well-known Sega leaker, Atlus' upcoming Metaphor: ReFantazio is on track for release later this Fall with no delays. Metaphor: ReFantazio is a brand-new IP from Atlus, having a lot of the same staff who previously worked on the developer's Persona series in charge of the game. Unlike the Persona series, which is an urban fantasy RPG series, Metaphor: ReFantazio has a more traditional high-fantasy setting. While Metaphor: ReFantazio's gameplay loop is different than Persona's, they both share the same DNA by retaining a lot of social simulation and dungeon-crawling elements.
