The new Level-Up Raid version of Gnomeregan introduced several new «Just For Fun» items, and one of them is the Aragriar's Whimsical World Warper trinket:
When used, the trinket teleports you to an unknown location. Some of these locations are entirely ordinary (like a cliff in the Hinterlands), but others are places that most players will never be able to reach without this trinket.
We have compiled a list of some of the most interesting locations the trinket can teleport you to, complete with screenshots thanks to Wowhead's very own Neryssa as well as user screenshots uploaded to Wowhead!
Mushroom in the Eastern Plaguelands
Did we mention some of these places are very dangerous to level 40 characters?
The iconic giant mushrooms in the Eastern Plaguelands are menacing from below, and are just as foul from up top. This particular mushroom is located close to the future Naxxramas entrance.
A great location for any Fun Gal or Fun Guy.
Old Ironforge
This location was first found many years ago by inventive explorers as well as those that dove into the map files of the game. Just behind the throne room in Ironforge there is a closed off area that got the nickname «Old Ironforge».
In Cataclysm this area was opened for everyone to see, but in Season of Discovery this is a special treat.
Time to go spelunking.
Gryphon Roost on top of Karazhan
Karazhan has held many mysteries throughout Warcraft history, and it seems we are continuing that thread.
An instance portal can be seen not too far away, but the tantalizing part is that you aren't able to move. After 10 seconds you will be teleported to your Hearthstone location, so make sure you enjoy the view while it lasts.
What secrets do these Gryphons sit on?
Quel'Thalas in the Eastern Plaguelands
Even before Quel'thalas was introduced as a playable zone in the Burning Crusade, there seems to have been plans to implement it in game. This zone is technically part of the Eastern Plaguelands, but is inaccessible to players and is but an empty husk of a real zone.
Again, when you teleport here you aren't able to move and get teleported to your Hearthstone's set location after 10 seconds. A tease is all we get...
What secrets could this version of Quel'Thalas have held?
Zin-Malor in Azshara
While Azshara was suspiciously empty in Vanilla, the elven ruins were always imposing. Now you can get an entirely new view of the beach!
Azshara chose a great spot for her beach house.
Statues in the Burning Steppes
There are two different statues in the Burning Steppes you can have the luck of teleporting to:
- The shoulder of one of the hooded statues at the Altar of Storms.
- The very tip of Anduin Lothar's sword.
One of these seems more comfortable than the other.
