Alongside Helltide changes and The Pit of Artificers, Diablo 4 is also getting some new items and Legendary Aspects with the Season 4 PTR. There’s Tyrael’s Might, a new Unique Chest Armor for all classes, which allows all Skills to unleash a “divine barrage” when at full life and Yen’s Blessing, Unique Boots that have a 20 to 30 percent chance to “cast a Non-Mobility, Non-Ultimate Skill” that’s on cooldown once every 12 seconds.
The new Legendary Aspects include Aspect of Frosty Strides, where evading freezes nearby enemies, dealing Cold damage and applying vulnerable for three seconds when below 45 to 60 percent life. Then you also have class-exclusive Aspects, like the Necromancer’s Aphotic Aspect, where Skeletal Warriors deal Shadow damage and have a five to 15 percent to stun enemies for 1.5 seconds.
Check out some of the PTR notes below, though it’s worth checking out the full patch notes for balance changes. Diablo 4’s PTR goes live on April 2nd for PC players, with Season 4 launching on May 14th.

In a major step towards protecting news publishers and content creators from copyright violations done by companies while training their artificial intelligence (AI) models, Electronics & Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the Indian govt is planning to formulate a new AI law. This development comes after the govt made it mandatory for companies to get a permit before rolling out their untested models, a decision that was highly talked about and ultimately revoked later on.
Blizzard is looking at feedback regarding high Veiled Crystal costs associated with the new Codex of Power in the Diablo 4 PTR, and could be reducing costs in the future. While many materials have received changes in the PTR, in some cases completely overhauling their systems, Veiled Crystal have become a pain point — what was once an incredibly common material has now become much rarer, and high costs are eating through lowered supplies. Blizzard has not committed to a firm change yet, however they've noted that the feedback regarding these Crystals is common.
With the first few days of the Diablo 4 Season 4 PTR behind us, Blizzard has opened the doors to their newest PTR Bug Report Forum. Here, players can report specific issues that they're encountering within the Diablo 4 PTR, so that the devs can squash them ASAP! Diablo 4 PTR Bug Report Forum
For players who have entered the Public Test Realm for Patch 1.4.0, an issue has been discovered that causes the Codex of Power to be reset, removing any progress made by players. After boosting a character to level 100 via the NPC in Kyovashad, the Codex of Power upgrade process will reset to zero. This means that if you have upgraded various Aspects in the Codex and made another character, boosting that character to level 100 will then wipe the Codex to its original state for all characters. Before boosting a character to level 100 vs after boosting a character to level 100. The only way to work around this currently if you wish to have numerous characters is to make all of your alt characters and boost them to level 100 before you start to upgrade Aspects in the Codex of Power. This will prevent a new character from accidentally removing all your progress as you battle your way through the Diablo 4 PTR.
Blizzard has hotfixed the PTR for Diablo 4, allowing new characters to skip the campaign without completing the prologue first. The most highly-requested feature of the PTR so far, Blizzard stated earlier today that they were working on deploying a fix. Players should now be able to immediately skip the campaign upon creating a new character.

Season 4 PTR Datamined Changes Diablo 4 Andariel Boss Model
The first Public Test Realm for Diablo 4 is now live, and many players are itching to get their hands on the new content and systems. However, there is yet to be a reveal of Season 4's theme — and there won't be on the PTR itself, according to Blizzard. Diablo 4 PTR Patch 1.4.0 Patch Notes Now Available Diablo 4 PTR Now Live Associate Game Director Joe Piepiora responded to player questions about the Season 4 reveal and that it will not be made known until some time after the PTR goes down. Piepiora went on to add context to the matter in another reply, suggesting that the PTR is squarely focused on huge amount of systems and itemization changes coming to the game. This is fairly understandable considering the scope of Patch 1.4.0. Adding the seasonal content on top of that would split the focus of not only the developers, but the playerbase engaging in the PTR for testing and feedback as well. But the question at this point is: when will the Season 4 reveal be? Diablo 4's 4th Season is confirmed to start on May 14th, and the PTR ends on April 9th. This leaves 35 days between the end of the PTR and the start of Season 4. If Blizzard gives at least a week for the final Patch Notes to be public and some time to prepare after the PTR ends, we could potentially expect the Season 4 reveal to be somewhere near April 30th. However, we do have one slight hint as to what the Season 4 theme could be. During the PTR, this placeholder Season banner was discovered: While this could be easily and most likely be a placeholder name for the Season, the huge reworks to itemization and loot overall does at least lend some credibility towards the general theme the season might be going for.
Blizzard has updated the PTR patch notes to include a new visual accessibility option coming to Diablo 4. This new option will change the contrast of character highlights to make them pop out more and differentiate them from the environment. It’s April Fools’ Day, but this post is no joke: There is a lot of new TV to watch this week. In a lot of ways it’s a showdown of tense situations — “tense,” here, being used to cover things like Tom Ripley (Andrew Scott, in the new adaptation) trying to con his way into high society, American Horror Story: Delicate’s Anna (Emma Roberts) attempting to figure what’s a real haunting and what’s in her head, Mark (Steven Yeun) trying to live up to the title of Invincible while he protects his family, or Larry David (Larry David) just trying to make it through the end of Curb Your Enthusiasm alive.
