It's easy to forget that Diablo 4 has only been on the market for ten months. The game's had so many ups and downs that it feels like it's been hanging around for years, with the general consensus being that Blizzard has struggled to maintain the title's momentum through its seasonal updates. But with Season 4 — which is due to drop in May — the developer may finally be on the cusp of convincing hardcore players that the action RPG is in a good place.

Helldivers 2 players are currently fully committed to Operation Swift Disassembly, a surgical campaign to eradicate the Automaton threat once and for all. The situation on the ground remains extremely fluid; following the successful liberation of Malevelon Creek, a symbolic victory for the forces of Super Earth, developer Arrowhead updated the game, which was apparently the signal for Automaton forces to unleash fresh hell, as some extras not listed in the patch notes began to make their presence known.

According to reliable leaker Midori — best known for their seemingly accurate information on all things Atlus — a sequel to 2021's Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is currently in development. Of course, this wouldn't come as any real surprise, given that this is basically what developer CyberConnect2 is hired to do. Looking at the studio's long line of Naruto Ninja Storm titles, a follow-up to its Demon Slayer arena fighter always seemed inevitable.

Embattled developer Bungie will showcase The Final Shape, Destiny 2's latest, last, and perhaps most important expansion, next Tuesday, providing an update on the in-development project. The Final Shape was originally supposed to launch in February 2024 but was hit with a delay alongside last year's layoffs.

Older live service games like Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft make up more than 60 per cent of the gaming community's overall playtime, a new report from Newzoo reveals. Based on data collected throughout last year, it is said the amount of time people play games is trending down and those hours are spent playing a smaller range of titles. In 2023, games released within the past three years accounted for 23 per cent of playtime.

Originally released for the PSP all the way back in 2008 and 2009 respectively, Class of Heroes and Class of Heroes 2 are returning to PlayStation over a decade later. These fairly hardcore, grind-heavy dungeon crawlers were met with hit and miss reviews back in the day, but they did manage to establish a following amongst players who enjoyed their party-building and character progression systems.

The next title in the Mana series from Square Enix, Visions of Mana, is out this Summer. As the first mainline title in over 15 years, it offers vibrant visuals, a real-time combat system with new mechanics, and over 100 tracks. Xbox will apparently release the “majority” of its tentpole first-party titles on PS5 in the future, as its multiformat strategy gathers pace. LEVEL-5’s soccer RPG series Inazuma Eleven will make its PlayStation debut later this year, when new entry Victory Road arrives. But before then, a crossplay beta test will kick-off around the world, giving fans their first taste of the title. Said beta will launch first on Nintendo Switch from 28th March, but while there’s no date attached to the PlayStation version, we probably won’t have to wait long.

IStellar Blade is a hotly anticipated PS5 exclusive launching in late April, and it already seems set for success, possessing some indefinable quality that makes us think it will sell like gangbusters. Developer Shift Up must be getting plenty of positive feedback because CEO Hyung-Tae Kim is already teasing sequels in a light-hearted way.
