While you usually want to build up a large collection of Pals to either help run your bases or help you in battle, sometimes you might just want to strip one of any value it might have at the cost of its life. This is a great, if not morbid, way to gather some extra items off a Pal you may not have much use for. In a sentence we never thought we’d say, here’s how you can butcher your Pals in Palworld.

Acquiring a sufficient amount of these resources can be time-consuming. Fortunately, each element has a specific Pal that fulfills a similar role to Katress. Neutral Pals can drop some great items for upgrading and making various types of food.

Diamonds are an extremely rare material you can get in as dropped items from Legendary creatures. Only two Pals in the game can possibly have this material, but both are fairly hard to find in the open world. Collecting Diamonds is a great way to make money with the various merchants if you need to fund projects back at your base.

Even in an early access state, Palworld boasts a massive world map you can explore either solo or with a group of friends. While there are tons of sights to see and Pals to capture and put to work at your base, a major portion of your time will be spent on gathering crafting materials. Unlike Paldium, which can be found all over, other resources like coal can’t be found in any region of the map. If you were thinking you might be able to cheat the system a bit and simply buy some, guess again, because no vendor has any of these black lumps in stock, even the Black Marketeers. Reviving Pals in is a necessary step in case you want to continue using your captured companions. Despite the constant comparisons between the game and the franchise, this is a survival title and, unlike Nintendo’s classic series, there is no specific item that automatically restores a fallen creature’s HP and has them ready on the go. You will have to follow a very thorough and somewhat unexplained set of steps to revive your Pals.
