Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition gets March release date on PC

If you're a fan of The Sims and Sims-like experiences, it's quite an exciting time; work on The Sims 5, or whatever it'll be called, is officially underway. Then there's the imminent release of Paradox's Life By You following a number of delays, and even the charmingly lo-fi Tiny Life for old-school Sims fans. The game that's generated perhaps the most excitement since its unveiling in 2019, however, is Paralives, and after a long old wait — and five years of crowdfunding support — its developer has announced it'll be entering early access next year.

Assassin's Creed Codename Red — which takes the long-running series to feudal Japan — will launch before Ubisoft's next financial year ends in March 2025, CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed, with the publisher's open-world Star Wars Outlaws still targeting a release in 2024.

Horizon Forbidden West, the sprawling action-adventure title from Guerilla Games, is finally getting a PC port. PlayStation announced last week that the Complete Edition of the sci-fi open-world epic, which includes the Burning Shores expansion from 2023, will arrive on PC on March 21. The PC port will be helmed by Nixxes Software, the Sony-owned studio that has previously worked on PC ports for first-party PlayStation titles like Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. The Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition PC port comes two years after the main game' initial release on the PS4 and the PS5 in 2022, keeping in line with Sony's PC release timeline for its exclusive games.

The PlayStation-exclusive is coming to PC soon in a new package with the expansion included. The popular game was first released for PS4 and PS5 in 2022 and has been restricted to only being available on those systems until now. With the new PC version of the game, there are many new features to enhance the gameplay, and many pre-order and bonus content items are available.

Stardew Valley creator Eric «ConcernedApe» Barone has shared an update on the farm-life sim's highly anticipated — and long-in-the-works — 1.6 update, saying he's now «done adding major new content» and that it'll «definitely» be out this year.

Horizon: Forbidden West has confirmed all of the upgraded features coming with the game's «Complete Edition» release on PC, also revealing the PC version's release date. The highly-anticipated Horizon: Zero Dawn sequel from PlayStation Studios and Guerrilla Games launched to massive fanfare in early 2022 as a PS5 exclusive. The sequel saw both fan and critical acclaim for Forbidden West's expansive world and received multiple awards nominations, including a nomination for «Game of the Year» at the 2022 Game Awards. Now, the beloved sequel is gearing up for plenty of new features with its PC launch.

Sony has announced that Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will launch on March 21st for PC at $59.99. Pre-orders are live for the port, developed by Nixxes Software and Guerrilla Games.
