Hogwarts Legacy and Last of Us were the most searched-for games on Google in 2023

To help round off the year, PlayStation has put together an interactive map of the world that shows the most played PS5 and PS4 games of 2023 in a bunch of different countries. A nice idea, we're sure you'll agree, but the results are every bit as boring as you'd expect.

Steam has released its annual end-of-year charts, ranking the games that have generated the most cold-hard cash on the digital PC storefront. Frequent chart-toppers this year include the obvious subjects (Baldur’s Gate 3, Starfield), as well as the games that silently crushed it (Sons of the Forest, Goose Goose Duck.)

Steam has revealed its "Best of 2023" list that reveals the best-selling games on the platform alongside which titles were played the most on PC, Steam Deck, VR, Controller, and more.

The overall design of the iconic castle in is beautifully crafted and gives players a sense of truly being a part of the Hogwarts experience. This is especially true for common rooms, with each of the four having its own design theme to set it apart and reflect the values of that respective House. Depending on where the player is sorted, they will essentially have that common room as their home away from home at Hogwarts.The common rooms are a place to meet up with other wizarding students, practice spells, and just relax and enjoy a cozy, home-like environment after a long day of school.

Review aggregation website Metacritic has revealed the 10 worst games of 2023, according to weighted average review scores from its approved critics.

When it comes to gaming, there’s always a battle between fans and the different available platforms. We’re not here to pick any sides; we just want you to enjoy games. However, new reports have surfaced to show which platform was the most played for this year. This news comes from  How Long To Beat , an online website that provides stats for various video games. Most users might use the website to get a good idea of how long a title might take a player before they can finish a game. This can be incredibly helpful if you want to gauge when to start a game or just how much longer you’ll be spending in the campaign to finish it up. Now the publication has claimed the PC was the top platform for this year. 

As we eagerly anticipate IGN’s Best Game of 2023 announcement, we as the Podcast Unlocked panel thought we’d tell you what we think is the best Xbox game of this year. After all, we talk about Xbox every single week, we use our Xbox’s constantly, and we’re fully immersed in the Xbox ecosystem. And so our group gathered, discussed, and debated.
