A Baldur’s Gate 3 player has shared their hilarious build, which turns their Dark Urge character into It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Frank Reynolds. Since Baldur’s Gate 3’s release last year, players have been using the character creator to bring a ton of unique builds to life.
One of the most interesting things about Baldur’s Gate 3 has been seeing what creative players have been able to achieve using the character creator. Some players can spend hours crafting their perfect character, while others use it to create their favorites from other franchises, too. One recent Baldur’s Gate 3 build even turned Tav into Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg of what players have been creating over the last few months. The versatility of the character creator is massive, hence why players have been able to put together such amazing builds.
Redditor spriggleporp shared their amazing Baldur’s Gate 3 build online, turning their party into the cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Their Dark Urge protagonist is Frank Reynolds, a dwarf warlock. Meanwhile, they have recruited a series of hirelings to fill out their party, with Mac, Charlie, and Dennis all represented. Finally, they have also brought a raven along for the journey, with Dee being described as a bird frequently throughout the show. It’s definitely a party build that all fans of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia can appreciate for its ingenuity.
As part of the build, spriggleporp has clearly made an effort to match some of the attributes with the character's traits. For example, Mac's character has 19 Dexterity, giving him better agility during combat. Others in the thread posed their own ideas about how this Baldur's Gate 3 build could be improved, with one player suggesting they make Dennis a golden god. However, the original poster responded, clarifying that because they're playing on console, they don't have access to any Baldur's Gate 3 mods, limiting what's possible with these builds to the base game.
Beyond bug fixes to Baldur's Gate 3, it seems that Larian has now fully moved on from the franchise. There's no doubt that the talent of the developer in crafting CRPGs is one of the biggest reasons that Baldur's Gate 3 was as big a success as it was, and it'll be fascinating to see how the series fares without the studio. Hasbro has already confirmed that a Baldur's Gate 4 is on the way, although whenever it does happen, it will always be compared to the title that came before.
Baldur's Gate 3 is a Dungeons and Dragons inspired RPG developed and published by Larian Studios. Featuring both a single player and cooperative element, players create their character by selecting a starting class, take on quests, level
