In a development you don't see every day, following the closure of Hi-Fi Rush developer Tango Gameworks, swarms of fans have expressed their outrage by positively review bombing the game on Steam. This reverse review bombing campaign has resulted in several thousand Positive new reviews rising to the top since the news of Bethesda's Microsoft-mandated restructure broke last week.
Hi-Fi Rush's Physical Edition Is Still Coming Despite Tango Shutdown

Xbox is currently the villain of the week, having shut down game studios Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks. While it's a shame to see any studio close its doors, most people found Tango's closure particularly baffling, having recently released the critically acclaimed and beloved Hi-Fi Rush. It came as a surprise to Tango, who had multiple projects in development, including a potential sequel and a physical version in partnership with Limited Run.
With the studio's closure, many had assumed that the partnership with Limited Run was dead and buried, badgering the company on social media to provide an update on whether Chai and the gang will be burned to physical copies. After a little bit of silence, Limited Run's Twitter account has now practically confirmed that the physical version of Hi-Fi Rush is going ahead, which will be great news to all you preservationists out there.
Unfortunately, Limited Run didn't reveal when pre-orders for the physical version would go live, saying that it's "not quite ready yet", but it did say that the title is still going ahead "unless we say otherwise". We can assume it's going to be a little while at least, as Limited Run has several other titles coming in te next couple of months, but at least we know it hasn't been canceled.
Hi-Fi Rush's physical version is great to have out there, especially when there were concerns about the game's licensing. We know that several games have been delisted in the past due to problems with music licenses, such as Alan Wake and Spec Ops: The Line, and Hi-Fi Rush could potentially be another victim as Tango was working on a streamer mode before it was shut down. With licensed music on the soundtrack, it's likely Hi-Fi Rush could be delisted from digital storefronts in the future.
Now that we have a physical edition on the way, Hi-Fi Rush won't be forgotten should the game be delisted from digital storefronts. Now we simply have to wait and see when the title will drop, and pray we get some cool physcial goodies alongside it as well.
