Helldivers 2 players have recently managed to blunt the advance of the oncoming Automaton invasion fleet, with the conflict again devolving into a grinding stalemate. However, it seems the machines never rest on their laurels, as reports of the lumbering Factory Striders being deployed in unprecedented numbers begin to trickle in.
Unconfirmed, fanciful tales of similar machines were recorded during Operation Swift Disassembly, the first phase of a much larger campaign. Factory Striders, as they've come to be known, are super heavy weapons platforms capable of manufacturing additional Automatons on the go and shrugging off all but the worst punishment. If the machines can sustain such an assault, new strategies will need to be devised.

Have you been encountering packs of Factory Striders in Helldivers 2? What stratagems are proving most effective in bringing these armoured brutes down? The Orbital Railcannon Strike will be your friend in the comments section below.

Yeah I encountered them a lot more after the most recent update and man they're tanky
Hopefully it'll lead to all out war on Cyberstan.
Hard times ahead: Fellow Helldiver
I'm loving the regular war effort coverage
What a game. Keeps on giving and taking what little spare time I have all in the name of democracy.
This game is the perfect example of a very simple idea executed to complete perfection.
Sadly (although not really considering its the best RPG I've played to date) I've been kept away by Dragon's Dogma 2 for the past few weeks but I'm feeling a yearning to dive back in. Love the fact that you can play HD2 pretty casually for that reason — most multiplayer games would have alienated me with new seasons of missed content by now. «Respectful» is the word
Yeah they can be a pain, if you get in the sights of the guns placed on the heads you are pretty much a goner but the turret on top isn't too bad a couple of quasar shots will destroy them. An orbital rail cannon strike and a orbital laser will do the trick to take them down though! Problem is when you come across more than one at a time you need coordination to not waste strategems or they become a real pain.
This game is awesome and I can't get enough!!
I love seeing them turn up and 4 red beams immediately land on their heads.
