Players have noticed there is an issue with Gnomeregan Raid Lockout changing to the new 3-day lockout, where some players were unable to do the current reset. Blizzard is currently investigating the issue and hopefully will have a fix implemented soon.
As of today for NA Realms, Gnomeregan should have reset and will reset again in 2 days, matching the lockouts of Classic Era's Zul'Gurub, AQ20, and Season of Discovery's Blackfathom Deeps. This was explained previously in a Blue Post. The issue right now is, reports are coming in from players who raided on Monday in NA that they are saved to Gnomeregan and players who raided on Sunday or prior to that can enter the raid.
This is actually true, we have never in WoW’s history changed a dungeon’s lockout timer like this, so there was a degree of uncertainty on what exactly would happen. Regrettably in our testing we did not encounter the issue we are having today, but are working hard to resolve it.One thing I did want to also clarify is that even if you had your Gnomeregan raid reset this morning as expected, it is correct behavior for your new Gnomeregan lockout to reset again on the morning of Thursday Feb 22nd, the same day as Blackfathom Deeps. This is because all raids with a 3 day lockout timer rollover and reset on the same day and always have since 2005. So BFD and Gnomeregan will now always have the same reset days, and these raids will also line up with AQ20 and Zul’gurub later on down the line when those higher level 3 day lockout raids are made available in Season of Discovery.

Unfortunately, the teaser trailer didn't reveal much else and with a 2025 launch date, it seems players have a bit longer to wait for new details.
Blizzard has announced that Molten Core and an unannounced level 50 raid will be 20-player size raids. This is something that has been a topic of discussion for some time, where Blizzard has previously stated they would be doing 40-player sized raids for Season of Discovery in Developer Interviews with the community. It seems that Blizzard is trying to bridge the gap from 10 to 40-player raids with this change.

During Season of Discovery Phase 1, players thinking about Phase 2 were concerned that many of the mechanical bosses in the Gnomeregan raid would be immune to bleed and poison effects. If they were, that would invalidate many beloved runes and character specializations. Blizzard recently stated that none of the bosses would be immune but that some would have increased resistance to those types of effects. As usual Blizzard did not provide specific details, but now with the release of the Gnomeregan raid players have been able to figure out these resistances. Players have also made an unexpected discovery about the armor that Gnomeregan bosses have. The mechanical bosses have very high armor values — some even higher than Ragnaros from the level 60 Molten Core raid!
