Following the debut of an animated short featuring Arlecchino, Genshin Impact has released a character teaser to herald the arrival of the third playable Fatui Harbinger to the Event Banners. Wanderer and Tartaglia will be joined by Arlecchino in Version 4.6, who will also launch with a Story Quest and Trounce Domain, in what many players consider to be one of the biggest updates in Genshin Impact history. She will accompany Lyney on the Event Banners in the first half of the patch, while the second half will feature Baizhu and Wanderer.
Ever since her first appearance in A Winter Night's Lazzo, fans have been excited about Arlecchino and the role she is destined to play in Genshin Impact's story. While many considered her to be a villainous character, as befits her rank of Fatui Harbinger, Arlecchino proved to be an unlikely ally during Fontaine's Archon Quest in Version 4.2. Despite being ruthless and cold-blooded in her pursuit of justice, Arlecchino's darker side is tempered by an unconditional love for the orphans and adopted children of the House of the Hearth.
These qualities are perhaps no better encapsulated than in the character teaser for Arlecchino, where she treats a wounded member of the House of the Hearth, and exacts justice on a corrupt member of Fontaine's aristocracy. Arlecchino in Genshin Impact may belong to the primary faction of antagonists, but much like Tartaglia, it would seem that they share plenty of common ground with the Traveler as long as their agendas don't clash.
Despite Lyney being considered the heir apparent to the House of the Hearth, rather curiously, it's Freminet who makes an appearance in both the animated short and Arlecchino's character teaser. Given that Lyney and Lynette had their time in the spotlight during the Archon Quests in Fontaine, it's quite possible that Freminet in Genshin Impact will have his time to shine in Arlecchino's Story Quest when Version 4.6 launches.
With Natlan fast approaching, Arlecchino's Story Quest is expected to close out the overarching storyline in Fontaine, while Dainsleif is scheduled to make his annual appearance in Version 3.7. On top of introducing Clorinde to Genshin Impact as a playable character, Version 3.7 will also bring Sethos and likely even Sigewinne to the roster. Though details are currently scarce, Genshin Impact players will be able to find out more about the upcoming patch once Version 3.6 launches on April 24, 2024.

Since launch, Genshin Impact has considered Hydro to be a premium element, as many of the game's best Elemental Reactions are locked behind having a Hydro character on the team. As a result, the number of 4-Star Hydro characters remains limited even after the launch of Fontaine.

The Imaginarium Theater in Genshin Impact allows players to borrow one character from a friend's account, and a recent leak precisely explains how this new feature works. Since launch, the Spiral Abyss was the closest thing that Genshin Impact had to an endgame. It enabled players to push their characters and team-building knowledge to the limit, and it evolved alongside Genshin Impact as more enemies and gameplay styles emerged.

Genshin Impact has unveiled the Event Banners for the first half of Version 4.6, and it comes with a surprising change to its 4-Star character lineup. While 5-Star characters in Genshin Impact tend to be the biggest factor in determining an Event Banner’s popularity, certain 4-Star characters are much more valuable for starter accounts than others. More often than not, these happen to be 4-Star characters released near the launch of the game, such as Fischl or Xingqiu, whereas the newer additions tend to fill a certain niche.
