A long-awaited gameplay feature in is finally arriving if new Version 4.7 leaks are to be believed. The action RPG has just entered the first stages of Version 4.6, a bulky patch that brought forth a load of playable content. Players got an extension to the Fontaine map accompanied by a whole new underwater section and its respective World Quests, as well as Character Quests and the playable version of Arlecchino, the only new character in 4.6. While there is still a lot to do in the current patch, eyes are turned toward the next update.
There have already been a few rumors about the upcoming patch, including details about the new playable characters and a new endgame mode, but now there are new Version 4.7 leaks about an anticipated feature. According to information obtained by the leaker known as Hakushin, shared in a post tagged as “” on Reddit, the next patch will have an in-game Hide UI function that will be activated by pressing the backslash key on PC. Essentially, this will hide all the elements in the player’s user interface in, leaving only the game and its elements.
If the leaks are true and the addition of a Hide UI does occur in Version 4.7, that may mean good news for players who enjoy capturing moments they have within the game. The ability to have a screen without a user interface opens up the chance of getting clean screenshots, even within quests. If such a gameplay feature is added in 4.7, players could take screenshots during characters’ dialogues and not have a big block of text polluting the image. Of course, it remains to be seen if the feature applies during these moments.
“Players could enjoy a more cinematic experience and possibly even feel more immersed in the story.”
Another benefit that could come from a Hide UI function is the ability to take quick and clean screenshots while exploring the game’s open-world map, without having to put the game on pause and access the Photo Mode. Surely, the Photo Mode allows for more customization, but for quick images, a clean screenshot without the user interface could be a huge step forward. Even if players do not take too many screenshots, they could still enjoy the lack of a UI while playing the many quests in.
With a less polluted screen, made possible by the rumored Hide UI gameplay feature in Version 4.7, players could enjoy a more cinematic experience and possibly even feel more immersed in the story. Of course, the lack of a user interface does not work too well with quests that do not have voicelines, since all of the content would be featured in the block of texts used during conversations and monologs.
Hiding the UI may only be applicable during actual gameplay rather than cutscenes in.
For now, this should be taken
