Over the years, FromSoftware has managed to establish itself as one of the best developers in the world, mostly down to the breakout success of the Dark Souls series and a scarily consistent output of exceptional titles after that. Its games are renowned as some of the best in the business, and you could argue that the gaming landscape would be completely different if the developer wasn't in the picture.
That being said, no studio is immune to criticism, and FromSoftware has included some pretty baffling and irritating mechanics in almost every one of its soulslike titles. Fans of the studio recently banded together on the FromSoftware subreddit to come up with a comprehensive list of the single worst feature in every soulslike title to date, starting with the origin of it all, Demon's Souls.
It's a pretty simple one to start with, as I think you'll struggle to find many people that actually enjoyed the game's World Tendency mechanic, which altered the world depending on how much you died. Dark Souls had a fair few things vying for that number one spot, including the likes of the Bed of Chaos and the lack of upgrade materials, but it was the status ailment Curse that won out, something that lowered your maximum health every time you died.

Dark Souls 2 was a lot more straight forward, with fans having voted for the Adaptability stat. Not only did it affect the number of invincibility frames your roll had, but it also affected how quickly you use items. Given that it's literally never featured in another soulslike since, you can imagine the reaction the fanbase had and how popular it was at the time.
Dark Souls 3 is pretty flawless, but one issue that stood out for many, especially completionists, was farming covenant items. Those of you who went for that Platinum trophy will know how much of a pain gathering all those Proof of Concord Kepts were. Bloodborne is also just as flawless, but fans pointed out that having to sit through a loading screen to level up was a pain. Oh, and the fact that it's a PlayStation exclusive still, even if Sony itself refuses to acknowledge its popularity.
Sekiro is up next, and is definitely the most unique title on the list. Despite that, it's not actually a certain mechanic or feature that players hate, rather a series of bosses. You couldn't actually beat the Headless without using items, and consumable dependent bosses are a no-no for FromSoftware fans. Finally, it was Elden Ring's turn,

FromSoftware fans have been taking to the studio's subreddit to vote on their favorite feature for each one of its Souls games. FromSoftware invented the Souls genre with the original Demon's Souls, expanding on the concept with the Dark Souls trilogy, the Gothic horror Bloodborne, the ultra-challenging Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and the massive open world game Elden Ring.

A Pokemon player created their take on a new form of Mewtwo to celebrate the second Pokemon Legends. Fans of Game Freak's RPG franchise have been imagining their own unique takes on alternate versions of various pocket monsters in the series for quite some time. Many of these Pokemon forms are well-thought-out enough to pass for something that could be found in the games.
Dragon's Dogma 2 has been out and in players' hands for almost a week now, and it's fair to say that although it launched to incredibly positive critic reviews, certain elements haven't been received fantastically by the fanbase. The action-RPG was immediately hit with backlash for its microtransactions, and plenty of people have been left frustrated by the deadly Dragonsplague mechanic, too.

The next Mass Effect game will be led by trilogy veterans across several key positions on the development team. While the game is still a long way off, BioWare has slowly teased a new Mass Effect title since its initial announcement in December 2020. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is full of great moments, it can be difficult to choose just one that stands out. However, when it comes to moments that improve upon the original game, you'd struggle to find one better than the parade in Junon, as Cloud forms an unbreakable bond with several members of the Seventh Infantry, a group of Shinra soldiers tasked with representing their unit in the parade.
With the hype of GTA 6 it seems some of Rockstar’s others games are falling through the cracks and fans are sad about it. Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out since 2017, and it was a Wild West game that many didn’t want to put down. With GTA 5 having come out years earlier, 2013, it was exciting to have a new game from Rockstar that featured multiplayer.
