Fortnite just dropped their 28th season, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1. And, I’m telling you, it’s epic! With new maps, tools, and passes, the season will run from December 3rd, 2023 till March 8th, 2024.
Not one, not two, but three! Teaming up with other heavy-hitters of the gaming industry, Epic Games is dropping three new game modes. First up is LEGO with LEGO Fortnite, a free survival-crafting mode.
Any guesses on what this mode will have? Yep, LEGO minifigures! And, for over 1200 Fortnite characters! Officially launching on December 7, you can grab free LEGO-themed skins and build LEGO structures in this mode.
Car soccer is coming to Fortnite! Rocket League is a part-kart-racing and part-vehicular soccer which is now collaborating with Fortnite for Rocket Racing. Once it launches on December 8th, you can get your hands on customizable vehicles and hit speed boosts on a bunch of tracks.
The third one, Fortnite Festival, is hitting the stage on December 9th. It’s a collab between Fortnite and Rock Band, offering a co-op music creation mode. You can get your favourite characters jamming and making music and also explore a variety of instruments and tunes.
Oh, and you know what’s epic about it? A crossover with The Weeknd! Can you believe it? So, download the game from the Epic Games website and try it out.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is introducing a Helios map to the game for the first time. Explore new places of interest like Hazy Hillside and Rebel’s Roost and encounter trains and new off-roaders. The arsenal is also getting a boost with new weapons such as SMGs and a ballistic shield.
And, Big Pete’s finally in the house! That’s right. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 has added Family Guy’s Peter Griffin as a boss. Along with Peter, you’ll find four other bosses Montague, Oscar, Nisha and Valeria. Before you head out, do check out our story on Kingdom Hearts’ Missing-Link!

Lego Fortnite has confirmed that the highly-requested steering wheel piece is coming to the game in the future, which should allow players to move the vehicles and structures they create.
Fortnite is the surprise hit of the winter gaming season. Although the battle royale game has maintained popularity for several years, it’s now seeing yet another massive surge in interest. Last week, Epic Games released several new modes that bring entirely different kinds of games to Fortnite. Among the additions is a rhythm game called Fortnite Festival. In it, players can form bands with others while playing as Fortnite characters. Now, players are using it to create the most absurd bands possible and share clips online as characters like Goku, Peter Griffin, Kratos, and Gojo hit the stage.
Fortnite Festival — the game's new rhythm-based mode developed by Rock Band studio Harmonix — will let you use your plastic guitars and drums in the future.
Wanting a piece of the Minecraft pie, Epic has teamed up with some iconic Danish toymakers to create their own flavour of a blocky open-world survival game and to help you jump in, we’ve got how to play LEGO Fortnite and if it is a separate game explained.
Fortnite’s long-awaited Chapter 5 will revamp the release’s traversal gameplay, while adding some headline new features, including a train and the ability to customise your weapon. All of this has been teased as part of a new trailer, which also shows off some previously leaked Battle Pass skins, including Solid Snake and Peter Griffin.
Gone are the days of scrounging up loot at dilapidated taco joints and rusty playgrounds in Fortnite. Epic Games released a massive new update to the battle royale game this week as part of Chapter 5 Season 1. The patch literally blew up the OG map with a meteor, replacing it with an entirely new, much fancier map. Instead of rough locales like Greasy Groves or Tomato Temple, players now explore palatial manors like Lavish Lair or the manicured vineyards of Pleasant Piazza. Fortnite is basically a fancy European vacation now, and it feels a bit outside my personal budget.
Fortnite's big Chapter 5 update has strangely made a lot of its characters look a lot angrier, as it's removed smiling faces for anyone with default animations.
Fortnite's latest event has brought the likes of Peter Griffin and Metal Gear's legendary solider Snake to the island for the first time. Most of the changes have been received pretty well, apart from the animation tweaks that a fan doxxed a developer over, but there is one certain feature that Metal Gear fans in particular are up in arms over. Snake has been thoroughly de-caked once again.
Epic Games has changed the speed of Fortnite's storm circles following player feedback.
In Chapter 5 Season 1 players can track down NPC Characters to trade for useful items and perks. A total of eight NPCs can be found scattered across the new island, and players can trade with them using Gold Bars, a currency that’s earned from defeating enemies, opening chests, and more. Trading with NPCs can give you a valuable edge in combat and exploration.
With Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 1 the game has embarked on a subterranean adventure! It has ushered this following The Big Bang event that reshaped the Chapter 4 island. Branded as "Underground," this season introduces a myriad of changes, including a revamped island, novel gameplay elements like boss battles, LEGO-themed skins, and the inclusion of iconic characters such as Metal Gear's Solid Snake and Family Guy's Peter Griffin. The Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 1 update completely overhauls the battle royale landscape, introducing new locations like a functional railway with a travel-worthy train, marinas, mansions, and a fresh grassland area. Snow blankets certain areas, providing an immersive environmental shift.
