's Sole Survivor is a stalwart figure of hope and persistence in the decaying Commonwealth and one passionate fan is bringing the protagonist to life with an incredible cosplay that also stars everyone's favorite canine companion. In every mainline game, aside from, players begin their post-apocalyptic journey as a Vault Dweller, someone who managed to survive the nuclear devastation of the world by being born into the confines of an underground bunker. The Sole Survivor is different though in that, as the name implies, they're the only person who makes it out of the Vault alive.
Posted to Instagram by cosplay Vampisaurus, their cosplay boasts an incredible amount of detail as the creator intricately recreated an armored version of a Vault-Tec jumpsuit, going so far as to fit a Pip-Boy to their arm and even carry around a massive Plasma Rifle during a scenic photoshoot in an abandoned factory.
Vampisaurus even posed with what looks like a German Shepard that looks shockingly similar to Dogmeat, the players' faithful companion. Photography and editing were handled by Monsters Inside, demonstrating a real skill at capturing images that evoke a sense of the Commonwealth wasteland.
Another aspect of Vampisaurus' cosplay that's striking is the effort that's gone into making their photos look authentically like. One image sees the cosplay crouching down against a hideously oversized Radroach while another sees them admiring a genuine Vault-Tec bobblehead that's sitting on a weather-worn bench. The towering concrete and metal silos also stand out as exquisite set dressing given that the bulk of the world players explore in is littered with decaying industrial plants and rusted factories.
While many games have tackled the theme of a post-apocalyptic existence, arguably has the most unique aesthetic. Combining the retro-futurism of the 1950s alongside traditional Nuclear Age militarism, the franchise is known for its gritty yet often whacky world that's populated by an assortment of factors each trying to create a new society. Many fans are drawn to the series due to its unique look and stay when they experience its captivating open-world design and interesting quests and writing.
For those who may not be willing to sit through a lengthy experience like, there'll soon be a chance to experience the franchise through the upcoming Prime Video series based on the games. Premiering on April 11, the show will tell an original story set within the same universe as the games, meaning those unfamiliar with Bethesda's creations will still be able to follow its event. It's also canon, so events that occur could be later referenced in the next game whenever that may be.

Fallout hype is truly inescapable at this point, with the TV show driving popularity and Fallout 4 even getting its long-awaited next-gen update (even if the latter has been considered rather disappointing by many). One way or another, everyone is trying to live their best post-nuclear apocalypse life right now, and this enormous mod for Fallout 4 looks like it'll enable us to do just that.
With the recent success of Prime Video's series, there's a real allure to returning to and making it feel more like its television counterpart. The show is not based on any of the games before it, instead adapting the world but bringing it to life with different characters and a brand-new story. The series feels like an unapologetic and authentic member of thegaming franchise, but some mods can turn the tables and give the same feel as the TV show.
With datamining starting, we have our first look into the Gladiator Mounts of The War Within. The gladiator mounts are an armored version of other gargoyle mounts being added in The War Within and both are similar to Venthyr's covenant mounts, albeit with way more details.
Warning: The below story contains FULL SPOILERS for Fallout Season 1, which is now streaming on Prime Video.
Helldivers 2 is an extremely popular game, far more than probably either Arrowhead or Sony hoped for. That said, it isn't perfect, and the developers are well aware of that.
The War Within data includes an interesting addition: a new heirloom ring. The data indicates that it will be a reward from the pre-expansion patch event or a new World Event present in Khaz Algar. It seems like this new heirloom will be similar to Dragonflight when you could obtain Unstable Elemental Confluence during pre-patch and still during the expansion. The ring is created using Lifeless Stone Ring, which casts Infuse Memories. This spell requires three reagents:
Looking for the best character builds in Fallout 4? When it comes to defining your custom character in Fallout 4, you're given a lot of options. You need to consider the rather large perk chart, your equipment, and even your general style of play. Sometimes, it can all become a little confusing, so we've put together nine relatively basic character builds that are easy to develop further using your own ideas. With any luck, these builds will help you hit the ground running when it comes to surviving in the Commonwealth.
Bethesda has today revealed the long-awaited PS5 version of Fallout 4 will launch on 25th April 2024, with current PS4 owners getting a free upgrade to the native edition. The War Within adds hundreds of new faces, both friends and foes. These include candle monsters, Chad Kobolds, many different Nerubians, Earthen rams, and sheep, among others. Make sure to use our table of contents to navigate along the post.
The first episode of Fallout, the new streaming series on Amazon, felt a lot like the beginning of Fallout 3 for me — and not in the good way. Swapping out Liam Neeson for Kyle MacLachlan felt like a downgrade going in, but that’s probably because I’m just not a fan of his “subtle dread and kind smile” schtick. Just as in Bethesda’s 2008 sequel, life inside the Vault felt pretty bland, but things really started to open up for me in episode 2, when we finally arrived in the Wasteland.
GameSpot has released a writeup of their hands-on experience with The War Within, citing it as more of the same Warcraft, but in a good way! GameSpot Hands-on The War Within
