is a co-op shooter that turns players into vampires that are the hunters instead of the ones being hunted, and after a hands-on session, it's clear developer Toadman Interactive is preparing to give FPS fans a bloody good time. is a minute-to-minute shooter that makes players feel powerful, especially when played with two other friends.
Going hands-on with one of 's three playable vampires quickly erases any concerns that the game is another bland-looking shooter with clunky controls. Players are faster and more mobile than almost any enemy they will encounter. However, the vampire power fantasy has plenty of foes to fight, especially on harder difficulties that are built to challenge even the most efficient FPS teammates.
's gameplay feels like a combination of some of the past decade's most beloved and fun shooters. While playing the closed beta, elements of 2016's incredibly fast movement and 's diverse character builds was present. Each of the three playable vampire characters features unique abilities that help slay foes and traverse levels more effectively. Once players grasp 's movement and mechanics, they'll get into a groove, filling the air with high damage numbers and the body parts of their enemies.

Victoria can launch a deadly series of shadow clones that quickly and efficiently wipe out a squad of enemies. Last but not least, Mashaka can shoot explosive fireballs and quickly zip around the map via teleportation.
Attacks, techniques, and even the 's 15 guns can each be upgraded with progression trees that will quickly level up by completing the game's missions, which are designed to each take 10-to-20 minutes to beat. Additionally, weapon mods and artifacts can be equipped to add special boosts and effects to nearly every action in the game. Fans of PVE multiplayer shooters who create effective builds and have two other friends who fork over the game's $20 price tag should find a lot to enjoy in. Still, a few issues in the preview build might hold the game back.
During 's time with the closed beta, the game proved incredibly effective in making the player feel like a powerful vampire — almost powerful. Enemies failed to present much of a challenge, as most of them like to stand in one place, determined to use overwhelming numbers to combat players. Later levels begin introducing more challenging demon-type foes, but many sections of the game feel like they could use more enemy variations to prevent the gameplay loop
