One of 's most intriguing mechanics is New Game Plus, where players unlock new sets of Starborn armor on each new playthrough after beating the game. The Starborn are cosmic entities who are later revealed to be humans who have passed through the Unity. The Unity grants all who pass through it access to the multiverse, and anyone who enters it leaves behind their original universe forever.
While entering the Unity and becoming Starborn is optional for those who have unfinished business in their universe, it's the only way to progress the game to New Game Plus. Stepping into the Unity in will take the player to another universe which is set at the beginning of the game, thus starting the first New Game Plus playthrough. It also unlocks the first of 10 sets of Starborn armor, each with different looks and stat bonuses for the new multiversal travelers.
The Avitus may be the second strongest Starborn armor in the game, but its looks are not aligned with its stats. Both the spacesuit underneath and the cloth overlay are mostly an unflattering shade of brown, a strange reward for such an elite accomplishment. The all-white Locus armor would have been a much better choice to match the great stats of the Avitus.
This armor is automatically unlocked for any player who completes the game nine times and begins their ninth playthrough. Nine playthroughs could take hundreds of hours, even if the player was rushing through the main story to reach New Game Plus. There is no multiplayer or PvP in, but if there were, players with the Avitus Starborn armor would be formidable foes.
The Astra armor is the first Starborn suit that becomes available after walking into the Unity and beginning New Game Plus. It boasts impressive stats and a sleek style unlike any other armors in the game. It doesn't closely resemble either the Hunter or the Emissary's armor, but it has the look of a new Starborn eager to explore the multiverse for the first time.
Compared to other Starborn sets of armor, which are largely just slight variations of bulky spacesuits, the Astra Starborn armor is a satisfying change of pace. It also has better resistance bonuses than any set of armor that can be acquired in the base game. It even comes with the Starborn spaceship, which is a necessity for all the game's interstellar travelers and one of the best ships.
After completing the story for the second time and entering the Unity once more, players will be rewarded with the Materia Starborn suit. This is extremely similar to the Astra suit, just with a more fitted design throughout and a few darker patches in the mid-section. Considering is such a lengthy game, it would be nice to have a little more difference between the first and second armors,

Starfield is set to add some long-awaited features with its upcoming update, including graphics modes on console, expanded ship building options, surface maps, and much more, while later on in the year, Bethesda Game Studios will also finally be adding a land vehicle to the game. Beyond that, however, the developer is also working on a full-fledged expansion for the space-faring RPG in the form of Shattered Steel, and though not much is known about it yet, some interesting new details may have potentially been unearthed.
's 1.11.33 update is now live, and it brings one of the most highly requested features to the game. This is the biggest update to the game since launch. That's drawn some criticism, as updates have been slow to come. However, announcements this week suggest that Bethesda hasn't forgotten about: the DLC finally has a release window, and for the first time since release, it seems like there's a concrete roadmap for moving forward.
Bethesda has inadvertently teased that Starfield's Shattered Space DLC may have a lot to do with one of the game's main factions, House Va'ruun. Starfield has just recently revealed a major new update that will finally bring maps to each major city, add new icons for the different shops and eateries, provide new ways for players to customize their ships, and much more.

Microsoft has announced that the Xbox Games Showcase will be returning on June 9, and given the many first-party titles the company has in the pipeline for 2024, it seems safe to assume that it’s going to be a packed show. Starfield director Todd Howard finally shares some new details regarding the game's upcoming Shattered Space story expansion, and though it looks like it's still quite a while away from release, players can also expect to see a few significant updates in the meantime. While Starfield has seen plenty of noteworthy content updates since its release in September of last year, many players — particularly those who already purchased the premium edition of the game — are still waiting on the release of its DLC before they jump back into it.
Wow, remember Starfield? I do, just about, although any interest in it feels like a distant dream now. But not to Todd Howard! The Bethesboss had a chat with Kinda Funny and confirmed that Shattered Space, the first big DLC for the brave little space RPG that could, has a release window of "in the fall". Shattered Space adds new locations and stories and gear, and is the sort of DLC that was announced before the game came out, and you got it bundled with some of the super mega hyper awesome pre-order editions (you can still get it bundled with the Starfield Premium Edition if you want to spend an extra 30 quid).
Bethesda Game Studios has been promising new content and features for Starfield for a while now, and though updates for the space-faring RPG haven’t been as significant as many would have hoped, more new details have emerged on when to expect some of that. Shattered Space, for instance – which will be Starfield’s first paid expansion – has been given a narrower launch window.
