Dragon's Dogma 2 finally arrived on March 22 after over a decade of waiting from its dedicated fanbase. However, the surprise presence of microtransactions and the ability to only have one saved game at a time left a sour taste in the mouth for many, which led to Dragon's Dogma 2 getting review bombed by the gaming community. Dragon's Dogma 2 confirmed the news of the RPG passing 2.5 million sales on Twitter, as well as thanking fans for their ongoing support. With the game only being released on March 22, it has managed to achieve the milestone in a very short space of time. It's extremely impressive, especially considering the original game was released back in 2012. The first Dragon's Dogma is generally considered to be one of the best Capcom RPGs on the market, so it does make sense that the fanbase would be willing to stick around for a long time in anticipation of a sequel.
Alongside the second game passing 2.5 million copies sold, it was also confirmed that as a result, total sales of the Dragon's Dogma series have now exceeded 10 million, another enormous milestone. As long as the sales figures continue to rise, it would be massively surprising if Capcom didn't capitalize with DLC. Capcom hasn't confirmed any concrete plans for Dragon's Dogma 2 yet beyond this initial survey, but hopefully, those interested will hear more about any potential expansions in the coming months.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is about the journey, not the destination. It’s about exploring routes you’ve never taken before, camping in the wilderness, and having an unexpected run in with a Minotaur. Quests objectives are also left intentionally vague, forcing you to puzzle things out and speak to as many people as you can. If you could just easily fast travel to obvious quest markers you could certainly check them off your list more efficiently, but then you’d miss out entirely on the adventure of getting there.

@ApostateMage haha these moments are the best. This is the location I had wandered off to while getting side tracked from everything else. I went in a sorcerer (I think) and came back as a Magick Archer, then switched to thief at Bakbhattal after i'd levelled up to about MA lv5.
