Word is it's fire (of Rubicon). Not into 8/10 giant robot games? Slap a preorder down on Spidey 2, Starfield, or CoD Modern Warfare III. All of 'em are looking like pretty solid bets to me.

Welcome to a day of bargains and Armored Core VI embargo lifts. Mitch gave it an 8 here. Personally, I've played the hell out of it and have some thoughts as well. The TL;DR: without logging into the multi mode, you'll be hard pressed to milk the 50-60 hour estimate that's been getting around. That said, the combat feels great, and you can construct any svelte mech your heart desires. Be it an EVA unit knock-off. A Gundam. Or The Crushinator...

Razer is releasing an Xbox Edition of its popular Kishi V2 mobile gaming controller. The device is available in two SKUs, for iPhone and Android phones, and brings plenty of Xbox-centric features into the mix. For instance, the controllers boast iconic Xbox branding and a white color-way to tie it all together.

If Ahsoka Season 1 has given you the Star Wars itch, I have the bacta (read: bargains) to soothe it. The critically acclaimed sequel to Fallen Order, Jedi Survivor, has fallen in price. Considerably. It's also a really good time to secure a cheaper PlayStation VR2 and strap it on your melon. Personally, I'm still in love with my launch edition. More of you need to experience its VR-y amazing delights.

Basketball season is fast approaching, and so is a new opportunity to virtually get in on the action: NBA 2K24 New Gen. 2K shared preliminary information about the game in July but has just announced new details about September 8th's NBA 2K24, including adding a LeBron Era. This new mode follows LeBron James' 2010 journey of leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to play for the Miami Heat and leads into the already existing Modern Era. NBA 2K23 also introduced the Magic vs. Bird Era, Jordan Era and Kobe Era to the game. 

Great Boo's ghost. Is it that time of year again already? Somehow, we've ticked around to CoD Preorder o'clock again. Mind you, whether or not Modern Warfare III is worthy of the Price — as in Captain John — is still anybody's guess at this point. If you are keen, however, I do have the best bargains for it laid out below. It's the same deal on deals for Mortal Kombat 1, Starfield and many more.

We're getting short-time for a number of big 2023 releases, folks. The moon-sized one on the horizon is obviously Starfield, Bethesda's first new IP in ages. There's also the giant-robot-sized Armored Core VI, From's first entry in said series since its Elden Ring GOTY showering. I, for one, am keen to see what all the success, learning (and presumably increased dev budget) will yield for this. I also want to just paint a huge bipedal machine in Eva Unit 01 colours and stomp fools into the dirt. That'd mech my day nicely.

What can I tell you? Today is going to be a day of grifting great bargains and girding one's butt-cheeks (during the Matilda's semi-final attempt this evening). Pick of the litter as of now has got to be the ludicrously low price of LEGO Skywalker Saga on Switch. I'm also all about cheap thrills with Resi 2 Deluxe, Sifu Vengeance Edition, and a pretty magical price on Hogwarts Legacy.

Welcome to another wonderful week of saving tons on games. If you've got football fever, I've got the lowest preorder on EA Sports FC 24 available. Similarly, if you want to break the surly bonds of gravity, and punch the face of God, I have the lowest preorder on Starfield, too. Lastly, I must throw a spotlight on the recent free update (and subsequent discounting of) Broforce. It's basically McBain the four-player, 2D platformer. So, yeah — up and at them.

Every kid growing up has prayed for a snow day or two in their time at school, and that wish is set to be granted to the kids of South Park in South Park: Snow Day!
