Daredevil: Born Again's Bullseye actor Wilson Bethel is envisioned with a comic-accurate costume that he might wear in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series.
Daredevil: Born Again had finished fewer than half of the 18 episodes when production halted because of strikes by writers and actors. The executives of the production giant were not happy with the footage and fired the creative team. They revamped the entire series and hired a new team. Among Daredevil: Born Again's reported creative changesis Bethel's return as Bullseye, and new fan art seems to envision the character wearing his comic book costume.
Fan artist Rahal Nejraoui shared a version of Bethel in the iconic Bullseye costume on Instagram. The photo takes elements from the character’s costume in the comics. The image sees Bethel's character wearing the blue-and-white costume and mask. The costume flawlessly brings Bullseye's iconic comic book appearance to life on the screen. The mask also features the iconic bullseye branding on the forehead. Bullseye, a well-known Daredevil villain since his debut in 1976, has become an iconic character associated with the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.
In the comics, Bullseye is a proficient assassin with extraordinary marksmanship, turning any object he touches into deadly weapons and showcasing abilities beyond typical projectile-based villains. In the comics, Bullseye received an assignment to kill Kingpin. However, Kingpin sent him a letter and told Bullseye to work with him. Upon his release from Daredevil's custody, Bullseye is enraged to discover that the Kingpin had employed Elektra as his assassin in his absence. In a fit of fury, Bullseye managed to kill her using just a playing card and her own SAI weapon. Bullseye and Daredevil get into a fight after Hornhead learns about his lover’s death. As a result, Bullseye broke his spine and got paralyzed before getting his bones laced with adamantium. It would be fascinating to see which version of the character fans will see in the upcoming series.
It has been widely reported that Bullseye will appear in three episodes of Daredevil: Born Again. Bethel's last appearance was as Benjamin Poindexter in Netflix's Daredevil season 3 in 2018. The series hinted at the character's complete evolution into Bullseye towards the series' conclusion. Even though it would be exciting to see the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the episode count makes fans realize that Bullseye will have a smaller role. By appearing in just three episodes, it is reportedly confirmed that Bullseye won’t be a major villain in the show. His reported appearance has excited fans, and it will increase fans’ eagerness.
