A new update for Diablo 4 — released on 17th October alongside Season of Blood — will bring a major change to the way damage is calculated.

Apple's iPhone and Apple Watch are two of its products with an annual upgrade cycle. The road of game development can be a weird one, with periods of regular news being followed by long bouts of silence plus varying levels of access to early builds.  Open alphas, closed alphas, Early Access, and various forms of testing get the game into players’ hands while providing important feedback, but the gathered information doesn’t do much good if there’s no time to integrate it properly.  In the case of Foundry its alpha period went well enough the game was picked up by a publisher, leading to a long period of silence after the Steam demo got pulled last November while the entire game received a full overhaul.  Now it’s back with a huge number of changes, available for the duration of the Steam Next Fest before it disappears again.

TAGLINE offers up something we haven’t really seen yet – a cel shaded first-person shooter that blends a few different genres together. It very much evokes Jet Set Radio visually with a cel shaded world and we’ve seen that recently with Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, but it isn’t an art style used much for shooters. XIII was about the only one 20 years ago and nothing has really followed that mold, and even then, it went for more of a comic book-style approach with its narration and used the cel shading as a way to make it look like an interactive cartoon/comic book.

LunarLux impressed with a Steam demo and shines even brighter with its full release. LunarLux is a beautiful pixel-art adventure that definitely evokes the GBA’s era of bright colors and pixel-based text – with large text making this a really easy game to play on the go with the Steam Deck or ROG Ally.
