Darkness descends upon Call of Duty: Warzone as The Haunting Event spreads across the battlefield. While the Event adds a horror-themed overlay to the game, there is another Event that is part of The Haunting that has completely changed each match of the Battle Royale title. This Event is Operation Nightmare and sees terrible beasts and creatures roam the deserts of Al Mazrah and the streets of Vondead. Operation Nightmare is a new Event that is part of The Haunting that is active in Warzone as well as Modern Warfare 2 to celebrate the spooky season of Halloween. The Haunting includes a few interesting cosmetic additions, but Operation Nightmare has the biggest impact on the gameplay of Warzone. This Event introduces a group of monsters across Al Mazrah that players are tasked with defeating to unlock unique rewards.
There are a total of 6 monsters, each requiring players to complete an objective to unlock the battle against them. Each enemy also comes with their own unique moveset that players will need to contest against in order to defeat them. You can find The Butcher at Zarowa Hydroelectric, Al Mazrah City, Zaya Observatory, and Al Samman Cemetery in Al Mazrah. It is also the only monster that players can also find on the Vondead map. The Swamp Creature is found in Mawizeh Marshlands. You’ll find The Pharoh in the Oasis. You will find The UFO above the water to the south of the Sawah Village Coastline.
