You can never have too many good Metroidvanias, and another promising one is looming on the horizon. Animal Well, developed by solo dev Billy Basso (aka Shared Memory), is a game that has been on many a radar for a while now, and after years of development, the puzzle-platforming pixel art Metroidvania is finally almost ready to release.

NIS America will release RPG Maker WITH for Switch this fall in the west, followed by PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in 2025, the publisher announced. It will feature English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish language support.

That's according to in-the-know Game Mess host Jeff Grubb (via Eurogamer), who says "[Dreadwolf] will be released this year, last I heard". He continues: «They're pretty confident about that. Doesn't mean it's a guarantee – could slip – but right now, internally, they expect to release it later this year.»
