Another Bethesda Team Member Strikes Out At Starfield “Haters”

Coming into 2023, many gamers expected that Starfield, the new IP from Bethesda, would be on the tongues of many within the community for some time once it came out. After all, Bethesda was one of the best game developers/publishers in the world, and that’s not an exaggeration. They’ve crafted incredible RPGs and worlds, and they spent about eight years making their newest title. Many expected it to be the “Game of the Year frontrunner” upon launch and showcase just how grand Bethesda was at making new ideas and concepts. But it didn’t turn out that way, and gamers have had the title “on their tongues” for different reasons.

Starfield will introduce "new ways of traveling" next year

It's looking increasingly unlikely Starfield will have the quite same kind of longevity as its Bethesda RPG stablemates, but that isn't discouraging the studio from continuing to tinker with the space adventure's core — and one intriguing addition Bethesda has now confirmed is that «new ways of traveling» are coming at some point in 2024.

Starfield will get city maps and "new ways of traveling" next year

Open your map in Starfield and you won't see much more than a height map, even in cities. If you want to then travel around, you're limited to walking huge distances when on planet surfaces and using fast travel spaceship hops when in outerspace.

Dev behind massive Skyrim multiplayer mod turns their hands to Starfield, gives up because "this game is f***ing trash," uploads everything for someone else to finish

We could have got a large-scale Starfield co-op mod from the team behind Skyrim Together, but there’s just one issue: The modder who started work on the project thinks the space-faring RPG is “fucking trash.”

After years of bizarre setbacks and shaky promises, The Day Before launches to 'overwhelmingly negative' Steam reviews: "The day before I refund"

The Day Before launches to 'overwhelmingly negative' Steam reviews as players complain it's 'not an open world MMO'

The Day Before has a bit of a weird history. We recently summarized it here, but the gist is that it's an open-world survival MMO—or at least, that's how its combative and zealous developer describes it—that has attracted both hype and skepticism since it was announced, with some questioning whether it even existed at one point. After a fairly long delay apparently related to a trademark dispute, The Day Before proved them wrong and finally launched in early access on Steam today as promised.

Bethesda tries its hand at paid mods in Skyrim Special Edition once again

Bethesda has released a new and quite chunky update for Skyrim Special Edition, which in itself isn't all that remarkable. Sure the game is several years old now, but it is still very popular with players, so why not give the game a boost if it needs it.

"A Staggering Sensory Experience" - Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Review

is a game that promises a lot just by existing. Developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, it's a very AAA take on a very blockbuster film franchise, hellbent on creating a beautiful world that's almost impossibly dense with vivid life. Much to the game's credit, it rises to the challenge of rendering Pandora's splendor with care, and a share of somewhat pedestrian elements never manage to overwhelm everything that it does right.

Bethesda Reps Are Writing Responses to Negative Starfield Reviews

While it’s not unusual for a gaming company to respond to criticisms of one of its releases, Bethesda looks to be going a bit further than most when it comes to pushing back against negative reviews. In recent days, some Bethesda employees have begun posting replies to negative Starfield reviews on Steam, often going to great lengths to push back against critiques of the company’s sprawling sci-fi title.
