Before we start, are you seated? Okay good, because Best Buy just rolled out two really good discounts on the 9th Gen iPad and the 6th Gen iPad Mini. In a limited-time offer only, the models are $100 and $80 off, respectively, which is absolutely bonkers if you ask us. Let's take a look at both these models.
Let's do a quick rundown on the Mini first. Right off the bat you get a nice 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2266 x 1488. On the processing side, we see there's a standard A15 bionic chip, which has been said to deliver up to 80 percent better performance compared to the previous gen A14 chip, especially in terms of multitasking.
The iPad Mini comes with 5G connectivity for the cellular variants, which means a whole new gen of internet speeds for ultra-quick uploading and downloading. For all the photography enthusiasts out there, you're looking at an improved 12MP Wide rear camera and an f/1.8 aperture. Coming to the aesthetics of it, the Mini comes in all-new colors, such as Pink, Starlight, and Purple, along with the iconic Space Gray, giving you that extra dash of pizzazz. It also comes with integrated support for the second-gen Apple Pencil, which magnetically clips onto your device (while also getting a charge out of it).
The 9th Gen iPad, on the other hand, comes with a slightly out-of-norm A13 Bionic chip, standard Retina display, and compatibility with both the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard.
Moving on to the basic iPad, let's start with its marquee feature, the 10.2-inch Retina display, which comes with the signature TrueTone tech. Plenty of space for your work and doodles while also giving you some really good angles.
Now, on the processing front, we unfortunately don't get to see a lot because the model runs on an A13 Bionic chip (which is saying something because we're now on the M2). Then again, it did come out way back in 2021, so it's quite understandable. On the bright side, it is compatible with the first-generation Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard, which slightly bumps up its credibility.
